The first time I went to Verdad, I would have given it five stars. I've been back many times, and the experience has been different every time. I love the space - very stylish and evocative. The wait staff has always been good. I always order a sangria, and it's always delicious. The food ranges from truly spectacular and imaginative to simply disappointing. I'm sure it's an issue with rotating chefs, which is a shame. My husband and I go to the Bryn Mawr Film Institute (right next door) often, and I would love to just pop into Verdad each time and have a great meal. But the inconsistency has led me to shy away more often than not, and I don't take people there anymore because I'm afraid of being embarrassed.

Had an excellent dinner there last night. Food was amazing (highlights are the duck BLT, barrel aged filet and lobster gnocchi). We had been there before, but didn't remember it being life-changing, but now we'll make a point to visit more often. Our service was great too and and good drinks. Worth it for the occasional splurge/celebration meal without having to trek into the city.

Stumbled upon this place after the place we wanted to go to had no parking left in their parking lot. The mushroom flatbread we each had was very good and the mushroom soup I had was also good. Price is for lunch with flatbread and soup.

Came here for my birthday with my family and boyfriend and I was BEYOND disappointed and appalled at the service. At any other restaurant all of the food comes out together so everyone can eat together right? Nope not at this place. Bad enough the food took forever to come out and the one thing I was so excited to eat (vegetable paella) was beyond salty that I couldn't eat it. I had the Papas Bravas and the cheesy cauliflower, both of them were horrible. No taste at all and they add this mayonnaise like cream on every dish that it makes everything so mushy and they add so much of it that it kills the dish completely. No idea where they get that from, but it's a hot mess! I will never in my life come again it was such a waste of money and time. The best part was the cake that we brought :)

Loved it. Came here as I was roaming the mainline for a dinner option. Haven't been to PA in years and am here on business. Had the Pan Seared Stripped Bass. Perfect! Atmosphere was lovely. Bartender was accommodating. Would be here often if I was a local!

I went in with high expectations based on the waiter's comments but left disappointed.
