The customer service is terrible, the communication with the parents is worse. As a parent, I like to be informed about my kid's schedule. I received none of the correspondence or notifications from the school. We had a possible scheduling conflict. When I said the notifications should also be sent to the parents, Lynn (receptionist) said it was their belief that if the child is responsible enough to drive, she should be able to manage her own schedule. I was also told that there is NO WAY to get a message to the instructor during the day which also speaks to the non-existent communication here. Sadly, with very little competition, Tri-County doesn't have to care what you think.

This is a horrible driving school. They do not prepare you at all for your driving test. The instructors are scary. At one point during one of my lessons, my instructor told me to pull into a back parking lot. It was just me and him. There was no one else in the car with us. He got out of the car and went into a building. He did not tell me where we were or what he was doing. I sat and waited for him for about 15 minutes, and then he finally came back out of the building and we finished my lesson. To be honest, I was a little scared being in a back parking lot alone with my male driving instructor. Also, most of the time during my lessons, the instructor had the music on and did not pay attention to my driving at all. They also also failed to tell me important rules of the road. I would NOT recommend this driving school to anyone!

We at Tri County Driving School, Inc heard about this review that was posted and looked into the comment: Bottom line is that the instructor had been in the car for several hours with behind the wheel students and needed to use the restroom!! Don't think he is a bad person for going to the bathroom! There is also good lighting in the back parking lot of our office building. However, anyone reading this review would not know that. We are the only driving school in Appleton that is a member of the Better Business Bureau and we take this negative comment very seriously.

Very hard to work with and very unforgiving of missed appointments! Look out. If you miss one, you or your child will pay.

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. It is stated on all of our materials:brochure, website, student information sheet and most importantly, the legal state contract that the parent is required to sign. We do not hide this policy! This review is clearly from someone who was charged for a missed lesson. Note: All driving schools in the area have similar cancellation policies.
