My Korean coworker highly recommended this place because they are one of the few that still uses real charcoal BBQ grill other than electric. Therefore, the BBQ dish will smell and taste better. We came here and it was rather empty compared to other Korean restaurants in the area. That was perfect because I really dread waiting in line when I am hungry! So we headed to the second floor where they serve you BBQ. I guess they want to keep all the smoke contained on the 2nd floor and keep 1st floor as smoke-free as possible. We ordered the high-end kalbi beef and some bulgolgi to share among 3. That was actually quite enough. The meat was fresh although they look frozen to me? There was not a lot of seasoning either. Therefore, although it is high quality and they use charcoal, the taste come out to be about the same, if not less tasty. We also tried their fried dumplings and those are crispy and meaty. The free side dishes are alright. They are not as delicate as BCD or Cho Dang Gol though. I think Wonjo across the street is actually better.

It was much better than I expected. Friendly staff, and killing taste of beef. (I think we had Gal Pi??? the korean style Rib BBQ) The meat was so soft, juicy and tasty. and it was interesting experience how to eat it. They told us to wrap meats with vegitables with putting some soy sauce. I think I have to bring my wife here. She was little bit jealous when I came back home. BUT one bad thing. The Smoke smell will be on you. :) My wife just nocited the smell. I think we have to wear some T-shirts instead of suite when we visit there later. Anyway, They were really great!

3 1/2 stars? You kidding me? This Korean restaurant serves the worst banchan (side dishes) in K-town. Also, all the food ingredients are never fresh at all, which doesn't mean that the foods will give you food poisoning, but if you expect a certain gourmet type of Korean cuisine, you should never choose this restaurant.

This place was so much better when it came to korean bbq. i thought the marinade on the ribs were great! the sides were average but i was there for the meat and the NON-GAS cooktop. the flavor is so much better on the (soot bul) charcoal. You have to give this place a try. the staff is very friendly and the food is quick. just wear your least favorite coat and t-shirt there. you smell like the place when you leave. :) plus it gets pretty hot at the table when they cook it in front of you.

The atmosphere (calm, not loud) and staff (very polite) are great. I ordered a sashimi box lunch today - the fried vegetables and rice were both cold and the tuna tasted bad, but otherwise I enjoyed the meal. My friends ordered bibimbap and loved it, so maybe try ordering food you know will be hot.

2nd floor is bbq food is about average but service was worth the 45% tip i left. never had to ask for refills.
