Another broad stroke generalization of an entire population based on the experience of a single man who probably has some serious mental issues. And since when did Saudi Arabia become the Vatican of Islam. Historically, Islam has always been de-centralized with multiple theologies, schools of thoughts. Saudi Arabia simply happens to have the Kaaba which makes Muslims visit Saudi thereby giving the wrong impression that everything Saudi does or does not do is a reflection of all Muslims in the world.
Quite the contrary, If anything at all, Saudi and its school of thought is the bane of Islam and the nemesis that we face across the world in the form of Islamic fundamentalism. For 1400 years, Islam was just another religion whose populations lived and mingled with other religions with occasional zealots and movements that happened and continues to happen in almost all religions. But come 20th century, we see this sudden rise in fundamentalism and its roots can all be traced back to Wahabi strain of Islam that was born out Saudi in late 1800s, gaining further stronghold because of the petro-dollars. This school mutated and gave rise to Salafi movement and what we see with ISIS is a strain much further radicalized from the original Wahabi theology.
Western world continues to be-friend Saudi monarchy in their short sighted view of the world measured in barrels of oils and dollars and in the process turning a complete blind eye to what has been and will remain the biggest nemesis to the world at large - Saudi Arabia and its Wahabi school of thought.
