Construction of a new 6,000 SF Bankers Trust location is underway in Ankeny. Despite the project's soggy start in June, crews have already completed site work, foundations, MEP underground rough-ins and SOG and steel erection is in process now! Construction work is dangerous work! 1 in 5 workplace fatalities happen on construction sites and nearly 1,000 construction workers lose their lives every year. Some reports list the chances of getting hurt over the course of a 45 year career at 75%. OSHA created rules to help keep people safe, Neumann Brothers enforces these and some of own stricter rules. It’s hard to make the choice to work safely when no-one is watching – there are deadlines to meet and it’s easy to move from one task to the next without pausing to evaluate the work to be done and the environment. Safety is a conscious choice everyone needs to make. We asked a few of our field personnel to share with us why they choose to work safe. So, why do you? #safetyfirstsafetyalways #gohomesafe #worksafe #safe #constructionsafety #NeumannSafe

Can we just take a minute to appreciate all the men and women who have worked on the Iowa State Capitol Dome Repair project? Crew members had to trek up and down an absurd amount of stairs (250!) every day, most of which are tight, narrow, steep, spirals, AND they all spent most of their days working around 200 feet above the ground – high up on, near or above the famous gold dome! Not an easy job – especially if you’re afraid of heights – but the views are worth it and the work they’ve completed is amazing! #familiarfacesrestoringplaces #dontlookdown #desmoines #iowastatecapitol

The Polk County Criminal Courts project has been making some drastic changes lately. The jobsite is being cleaned up – material and trailers are being removed from the site. The exterior panels – which include limestone panels, metal panels and glass – are nearly all in place. Inside we continue to install courtroom desks, millwork, drywall, ceilings, paint, tile, access floors, finishes and mechanical and electrical finishes. Quite the transformation from the 8-story brick building that stood here just 2 short years ago. We can’t wait to see this modern space completed! #familiarfacesbuildingplaces #downtowndesmoines #newconstruction

The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum hosted a construction appreciation night last Saturday, June 9, at the Knoxville Raceway for all who contributed to the successful completion of the new Bryan Clauson Suite Tower and their families. Bob Baker, the Clausons and the Marshalls also placed our logo on the Clauson-Marshall Racing 7BC sprint car driven by Tyler Courtney for the night of racing – which was later seen in the winner’s circle! We were honored by their amazing gesture and proud to have been a part of making the Bryan Clauson Suite Tower a reality! Thank you for an exciting night at the races! #honored #weloveourclients #webuiltthat #takesateam
