Reminds me of my class' visit with Seagate.. The problem with a Marketing and Tech class is not everyone knows tech. See panel 4 for their reaction when they discussed how a hard drive works and what exabytes / zettabytes are.

That's great to hear -- sorry it took me so long to respond to this. Got to be on Google+ more. :)

Wow.

#AlbumTheme: Lakes

This weeks album theme is lakes...first few photos of my album are arranged to showcase the light, colors and diversity of life found in and around the lakes.

Lakes often offer an unobstructed views of the surroundings..and if they happen to be near the mountains provides the viewer an opportunity to see them clearly. St. Mary's lake in Glacier National Park is one of my favorite places to shoot. From a view point like this one a visitor can see mountains that are few miles away.

Enjoy & Share.

Cause, I'm in love with Firefox. A lot of classes use it anyway. My app design class had us dl it if we didn't have it and install Firebug etc.. to test our scripts.

Wait, LinkedIn?.. Joking. This looks interesting. I think I'll sign up and look around.

A new career website that launched on Monday aims to be a one-stop shop for hiring managers and job seekers.

On GetHired.com, employers can search for candidates, sift through multimedia resumes, schedule interviews (and sync those appointments to their iPhones) and video chat with potential hires.

Job seekers can upload a video of themselves explaining their background and expertise, or answer employer-submitted questions via an automated phone system and upload the sound bites to their profiles.

Are traditional resumes a thing of the past? What, in the end, do you believe will take their place?

This is mind blowing how social media has broken down the barriers.
Mashable originally shared:

“This year when we started discussing a post-SOTU (State of the Union) YouTube interview with the White House we threw in the new availability of Google + Hangouts,” a Google spokesperson told Mashable. “The White House agreed — it seemed like a great new use of technology to connect people face to face with the president.”

Will you be joining in?

For class I'm going to San Francisco. I have had major butterflies for about two weeks now. My mom found a great chinese food place. She won't stop talking about it.. While looking through some cards on San Fran I'm definitely gonig to Zazie's for their ginger bread pancakes. Apparently they are to die for. And, of course I need to fix my carving for Del Taco (I actually have had them on and off for 2 years..).. All things food aside, the companies that we're going to see are amazing. I was sad when some didn't work out but we kept some of the major ones. Yay!! And, now I'm more excited. Ugh... YAY!!

It'd be weird to think that Best Buy might be a thing of the past. I remember when it was a cool thing to spend hours in the music section. Yeah they've pretty much killed their music but what really drove me away was my last few visits, I didn't like the service. Oh well.. Where are those good old days?
