Here are a few night time surveillance images that I captured last night with the PTZ-HD-20 at +CCTV Camera Pros office. The infrared mode works great in our parking lot. I am working on a video demo that I will post soon.
1080p HD Infrared PTZ Camera
These surveillance images were captured at night time using a PTZ-HD-20 high definition pan tilt zoom camera. The camera's built-in infrared LEDs were turned on when these images were captured because the light level in this area low.

The first image was captured with the PTZ-HD-20's lens zoomed all the way out to the widest lens angle. This is an overview of the main entrance to our parking lot.

The second image was captured with the PTZ-HD-20's lens zoomed to the 18x zoom level. The closer vehicle in the picture is parked 375 feet away from the camera. The white Mercedes is located 460 feet away.

The PTZ-HD-20 is a 4-in-1 camera that supports the following video formats: analog CCTV, AHD, HD-TVI, and HDCVI. This camera will work with any surveillance DVR that supports any of those video formats. 1080p HD and 960H analog video resolutions are supported.

You can learn more about this camera and see a video demo here. https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Infrared-HD-PTZ-Camera-p/ptz-hd-20.htm

Here is a video demo that I created today at +CCTV Camera Pros using our the latest HCPRO-420SC - hidden fire sprinkler security camera. This camera supports 1080p resolution in the following video modes: AHD, HD-TVI, and HDCVI. It also supports traditional analog CCTV video in 960H resolution (960 x 480.

This is a great camera for a retail or commercial location that requires convert surveillance / hidden spy camera operations.
Hidden HD Security Camera in Ceiling Fire Sprinkler
The HCPRO-420SC is a hidden fire sprinkler security camera that supports 1080p HD video resolution. http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Sprinkler-Security-Camera-p/hcpro-420sc.htm

In this video, the camera is mounted to a ceiling tile at CCTV Camera Pros office and hard wired to an iDVR-PRO surveillance DVR using RG59 coax cable.

The office is 15 feet wide. The 3.7mm pinhole lens of the security camera does a good job of monitoring a room this width. Because the lens of the camera is hidden inside a fire sprinkler, this camera is a great choice to use as a hidden spy cam.

This "HD over Coax" camera is capable of running in 4 video modes: AHD, HD-TVI, HDCVI, and analog CCTV. This means that it can be used with any of those DVR types. The installed can select the video mode using the small joystick that is attached to the camera's cable.

HD over coax cameras are sometimes called HD CCTV cameras because they support 1080p resolution of the same type of RG59 or RG6 coax cable used in traditional CCTV installations.

In addition to video, this camera can also capture audio surveillance using the built-in microphone. This is optional to use and simply connects to the video input of a DVR that has a RCA or BNC composite audio input.

These pictures were captured using the 420SC that we have installed at CCTV Camera Pros office. This one is connected to an iDVR-PRO surveillance DVR in 1080p HD-TVI video mode.

The first surveillance image was captured with all of the lights on in the room. The second was captured with all of the lights turned off to test the low light capability of the camera. This camera works well in low light, but for zero light covert applications, we recommend this hidden PIR camera with invisible infrared night vision.

This fire sprinkler cam is extremely easy to install to a ceiling tile. The camera also has a built-in audio microphone that can optionally be connected to the DVR. You can learn more about the camera here.

Here is a video demo of the 20x zoom / 1080p HD PTZ camera that we recently installed at +CCTV Camera Pros. Watch this video to see the camera zoom into a street sign that is located 550 feet away! This camera can be used with analog CCTV, AHD, HD-TVI, and HDCVI type surveillance DVRs.
1080p HD PTZ Camera w/ HD-TVI, AHD, HDCVI, Analog CCTV Modes
Watch the amazing 20x optical zoom of this HD PTZ camera as it zooms in on a street sign that is 550 feet away! https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Infrared-HD-PTZ-Camera-p/ptz-hd-20.htm

For the demo, the camera is connected to an iDVR-PRO surveillance DVR using RG59 coax cable. All of the pan tilt zoom controls are performed using a USB mouse connected to the DVR.

This security camera and DVR both support UTC for pan tilt zoom communication. UTC stands for up the coax and means that both the video and PTZ control commands are transmitted over the coax cable. There is no need to run separate cable for RS-485 communication.

Although not demonstrated in this video, the HD-PTZ-20 has ultra high powered infrared LEDs built-in that let it see up to 300 feet in the dark. For parking lots and other outdoor areas that have at least some light at night time, the camera can see much farther.

The 4-in-1 video capability of the camera allow it to be used with the following types of DVRs: analog CCTV, AHD, HD-TVI, and HD-TVI.

This is what a street sign 550 feet away looks like using the 20x optical zoom of the 1080p HD PTZ camera installed outside of CCTV Camera Pros' office. https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Infrared-HD-PTZ-Camera-p/ptz-hd-20.htm

The PTZ-HD-20 is a 4-in-1 security camera which means that it supports 4 video modes: AHD, HD-TVI, HDCVI, and analog CCTV. We have ours running in 1080p HD-TVI mode and it is connected to an iDVR-PRO surveillance DVR.

The 1st image shows how we installed the camera to the wall on the front of our office building.

The 2nd image shows a right facing view of our parking lot with the camera lens zoomed all the way out.

The 3rd image shows the pan tilt zoom controls provided by the DVR.

The 4th image shows the same right facing view, but the lens is zoomed in 20x.

I just rolled out an update to the iDVR-PRO Viewer Android app at +CCTV Camera Pros. The update includes some improvements to the PTZ camera controls in the app.
iDVR-PRO Android App PTZ Camera Controls Update
CCTV Camera Pros rolled out an update to the iDVR-PRO Viewer app for Android. https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/View-Security-Cameras-Android-App-s/973.htm

The update adds preset controls for pan tilt zoom cameras and fine control over camera movement. You can see in the upper left, the new preset location controls. In the upper right, you can see the fine control.

PTZ controls on the iDVR-PRO Viewer app work with traditional analog CCTV cameras, 1080p AHD cameras, and 1080p HD-TVI cameras.

I wrote this article today at +CCTV Camera Pros to explain how port forwarding is used to enable remote access and viewing of IP security cameras.
Port Forwarding / Remote Access Setup Guide for IP Cameras
Port forwarding and DDNS are concepts essential to understanding how-to setup remote viewing access to network IP cameras. This article explains them in detail. https://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/surveillance-systems/port-forwarding-remote-access-setup-for-ip-security-cameras.html

Here is solution that I documented at +CCTV Camera Pros that enables an AHD security camera to display live 1080p video on multiple TVs.
Display 1080p Video from an AHD Security Camera on Multiple TV Monitors
This article documents a solution on how-to display HD video from an AHD security camera on multiple TVs / monitors. https://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/surveillance-systems/how-to-display-1080p-video-ahd-security-camera-multiple-tv-monitors.html

This topic was brought up because I was recently contacted by the pastor of a church who wanted to display a live video feed of the service in three different rooms of the church.

The solution uses an AHD to HDMI converter, which connects to an HDMI over CAT6 splitter / transmitter system.

Something I documented today at +CCTV Camera Pros.
How-to Connect an HD Security Camera to a Tivo DVR
https://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/surveillance-systems/how-to-connect-1080p-hd-security-camera-to-tivo-dvr.html
A customer recently contacted me to ask how-to connect a 1080p HD security camera to a Tivo DVR. He was the manager of a little league baseball team and he wanted to use an HD-Q7 security camera that would be permanently installed on one of his baseball fields.

He already had a Tivo Roamio OTA DVR in place at the park and he was already comfortable with to how it operated, so he did not want to use a surveillance DVR as the recorder for this application.

I figured that there are likely other sports organizations that want to use an inexpensive AHD security camera to capture kids sports games, so I documented what I recommended to this coach.

1080p HD PTZ Security Camera Video Demo
I created this demo video today at +CCTV Camera Pros. It demonstrates an HD over coax PTZ camera being controlled by an iDVR-PRO. This camera can run in the following modes: AHD, HD-TVI, HDCVI, and traditional analog CCTV (CVBS).

Although I did not capture any night time video in the demo (another video is coming soon), the camera has excellent infrared / night vision capability as well - 150 foot IR rating.

You can learn more about this camera here.
https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/IR-PTZ-Camera-p/ptz-hd-10.htm
1080p HD PTZ Camera
This is a demo of a high definition PTZ security camera (PTZ-HD-10) controlled by an iDVR-PRO surveillance DVR.

The PTZ-HD-10 is a 4-in-1 camera that supports the following video modes: AHD, HD-TVI, HDCVI, and analog CCTV (CVBS). 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080) is supported for AHD, HD-TVI, and HDCVI. 960H resolution is supported in analog CCTV mode.

1080p AHD mode was used for this video demo.

This HD pan tilt zoom camera uses UTC (up the coax) for PTZ communication. This allows the video signal and PTZ commands to be send back to the DVR over one RG59 coax cable.

Installers can easily select the video mode that they want to use via the on screen display menu.

Although not demonstrated in this video, this camera has high powered infrared LEDs built-in which support IR video in zero light up to 150 feet.

This camera is enclosed in a IP66 weatherproof housing for outdoor installation.

A wall mount bracket is included. Ceiling and corner mounts are available.

In addition to the PTZ controls on the DVR, users can also remotely control this camera via iPhone and Android mobile apps. Windows and Mac desktop software can also be used remotely. Simply connect the iDVR-PRO to a high speed Internet connection and router and configure port forwarding.

The iDVR-PRO DVR supports scan and tour functions which are demonstrated in the video.

Here is a link to the iDVR-PRO that the HD PTZ camera was connected to.
