Join us tonight as we move to the dirt for our second evening of films featuring mountain bike movies NotBad and Not2Bad by Anthill Films.
Due to the high winds we have decided to move all three nights of movies over to our South Lodge located just down the street at 105 Tahoe Ski Bowl Way. This location has more protection and shelter from the wind. Movies will still be shown outside so don't forget to bring your blankets and chairs. (We will have 200 chairs available - first come first served)

"My 8 year old sis enjoyed the beginner terrain park."
"Staff is always friendly and it's one of the cheaper mountains around."
"And the price hasn't run up (as much) as some other places."

I would not recommend Homewood for a beginner due to the lack of terrain that is easily accessible from the lifts. For an intermediate, the resort is great. It is less crowded and offers some great opportunities to maximize your ski time. The biggest downside is that most of their lifts have not been upgraded and are pretty slow, and there aren't that many lifts on the mountain. The mid-mountain "lodge" is really a very large tent that provides good shelter and packaged food (they grill outside on sunny days). Bathrooms are outside which requires a bit of a hike down an incline and up some stairs. It's a family resort with reasonable prices and friendly people, so don't expect 5 star accommodations, but what they have in place is adequate if you aren't a snob.

I would have rather paid an extra $49 and gone to Squaw for the day. Had I prepaid online and gotten a discount I would have been okay. Otherwise it wasn't really worth it. There is one part near the end of one of the runs which you need a ton of speed to get up and over. If you're a beginner you get stuck and even if you're not you can get stuck because of all the people pilling up. It does however have incredible views at the top!

The prices are just okay, the drive to get here sucks & the parking lot is small & filled with potholes. The whole building is outdated & cramped. I felt like the bathrooms probably wouldn't even be up to code. Has a great view from the top but it's definitely not for beginners.

Been visiting Homewood for 35 years. Great skiing, great views, very kid friendly and perfect when other ski resorts are closing lifts during storms.

Very disappointed with this ski resort. The only star is for its views. Stunning views, but failed tremendously with its ski business. Went here two days ago, on new year 2017, the terrain is full of hail size snow balls . The slopes are not maintained well, it has many tree/shrubs mixed with the "snow". This place has butchered my snowboard. The management has entirely missed the idea of a ski resort.

Not so expensive and good resort. Includes lots of lifts and track of any complexity with spectacular view on Tahoe Lake. Lots of close by things like parks, restaurants and diners.

It truly amazes me why people are skiing Northstar or Heavenly and overlooking Tahoe Gems like Homewood. This place is rife with Tahoe Magic. Best views of the lake, PERIOD. Tree runs for daze! Freshies a week after a storm. Along the crest, so they always get big dumps. Quail face is steeper than all of Northstar. A relic of Tahoe's past- back in the day when a family ski vacation was pulling up, throwing skis on the kids, bringing a sac lunch, drinking beer with the staff in the lodge, and cheap lift tickets. Yes, they dont have 5 star accomodations at the base, or a f*ing ice rink, or overpriced drinks at a bourgeois cocktail bar, and thats a good thing. Get back to the soul of skiing, and homewood is where you do it. Tell your friends, cause we need to keep this place in business...

Man, I love this place. A hidden gem in the world of Tahoe ski resorts. Views, that in my opinion, equal any other resort around Tahoe. The place had an old ski resort feel about it. Great place!
