Cool bar with pretty good food. The staff is friendly and the crowd was cool. I've only been twice but enjoyed both experiences.

Kooky place, cool clientele and GREAT draft beer selection. Ask for a taste and the bartender will likely smile, say some offbeat joke and gladly give you a bit. When visiting my parents in law, they remarked that they were the oldest people in the whole place--which seemed to be true. Yet, they did not feel out of place and the Rocking Horse envelopes you in live music, dancing, greasy bar fare and a lively night out. Check it out on New Year's Eve!

a good spot for a group meet up or hangout, love the ahi tuna it's my absolute favorite. They serve a great portion size, always fresh and delicious. The have a pool table in the back. I haven't heard live music here yet but the overall music is pretty mixed, at times a little too loud that you have to scream over one another but the atmosphere is absolutely amazing and fun to be a part of you will definitely enjoy this place

Neighborhood/townie bar feel in the bustling Logan Square area. This place feels a little dingy, but I like it. The food is surprisingly solid and well priced. Great beer and cocktails, also at good prices. And, daily specials on top of it all to boot.

Slow service and poorly seasoned food. The tater tots and broccoli soup were extremely salty. The Caesar salad used fresh ingredients but the dressing was mediocre. Portions were generous. Noisy with lots of flies circulating. Outdoor patio smelled of garbage.

They have poutine! with duck! and tater tots! If that doesn't merit a five star rating, I don't know what does. It's a good space, preeetty loud/questionable music, but again, poutine.

Rocking Horse, my old friend. Rocking horse is like talking to the OK guy at the bar who you know wants you but you'd rather not settle and instead you want the hot jock looking dude swarmed with girls (Lula) across the bar. Sometimes settling can be good though, they have cheap bloody mary's on the weekend, surprisingly good eggs Benedict (especially the chipotle one) and enough TVs to watch every sports event on twice. They also have a craft beer night on Thursday and at least it's never very crowded. Great place to watch the game.

The best part about my experience at Rocking Horse was that I went during the peak dinner rush and the servers let me chill by myself at a 4-seater table for over an hour while I waited for a friend. I would have sat at the bar but it was full. I was ordering drinks and planned on ordering dinner, though, and they were cool with letting me hold up their table. The food was great, the drinks strong and I would definitely go back. Plus, the neighborhood is great for shopping or just wandering around killing time.
