DO NOT BE THIS GUY !!
Regular maintenance is important for your AC unit to function effectively and efficiently. Neglecting necessary maintenance ensures a steady decline in air conditioning performance while increasing energy use.

It is important to get your heating system inspected annually-gas, propane or oil.
This customer said they have had headaches for a year.
Below is a picture of the cracked heat exchanger in their gas forced hot air (fha) system;exposing them to carbon monoxide

EXTREME COLD IS UPON US !
Preventative measures can save big heart & head aches
Drafts and cold spots can reach further into the home than usual. Make sure all storm windows are closed; bulkheads and porch doors are closed and sealing properly. Closing Blinds and Drapes can also help to reduce drafts
Pipes located in closets, laundry rooms and kitchen cabinets along outside walls may need a little extra attention. Leaving the doors to the cabinets and closets open will allow better heating of these areas. If necessary turn the thermostat up a couple of degrees. In the end it’s better to have a fuel bill that’s a little higher than pay to replace broken pipes and fix the resulting damage.
Homes prone to frozen pipes may find it necessary to run the water slowly until the extreme cold passes. Be sure to run a steady stream not a drip, this can cause drains to freeze. If you use a wood, pellet or secondary heat on extreme cold days you may be better served using your primary heat source. That way the entire house is heated, including the hard to reach areas.
If you encounter a frozen pipe and you need to thaw it, DO NOT USE AN OPEN FLAME. Hair dryers, heat guns and even a small fan can move heat into a cold closet or cabinet to aid in thawing the pipe(s).
Don’t forget you have a stove/oven! If you find yourself without heat or need a little extra turning the oven /stove on can help warm things up. And what better way to pass a cold day indoors than cooking something good !
