Daniel Strachan: hello i had a quick look through your site, looks like your already giving a good effort with your photo's,+Michelle Piluso already mentioned snapseed, i'll second that. the learning curve with it is small and one can highlight the subjects in a variety of ways. There's a free 15 day trial version it's worth checking out.

Diana Darling: +emmy cooks Great site! ... and +Michelle Piluso thanks for the Snapseed info. Laptop about to die, and lost my photoshop CD in a recent move (grrr!) I see now photoshop lets you do a monthly subscription (yeah!) but this will be a good in-between. ;-)

What I'm eating right now for a solo late dinner: savory oatmeal with mushrooms, garlicky yogurt, and thyme brown butter.

Melinda Koncz: I like any mushroom recipe, at least twice/week I'm cooking something with mushrooms. The association with oatmeal is interesting, never tried it. Are you cooking separately the oatmeal or all together?

Melinda Koncz: I would say your version looks great too. We don't use so much oatmeal here, even if I am trying to introduce it in my dishes. For now I made only oatmeal cookies and a mixture with yoghurt for breakfast. I will try the mushrooms too, thank you for the idea.
