With my first I remember sitting in our breastfeeding group when the kids were about 15 months and us all saying there is NO support available to mums after that initial newborn stage. Nothing to help mums with weaning, either how to do it or support with their feelings. Definitely a lacking area. Sounds like Henry knew what he wanted, and you both did wonderfully!

We are pretty strict with screen time but like you had gotten into a habit of doing it a bit too much. When we cut it down she did get very upset, but it lasted just a day or two. We have tv at a set time of day so she knows that when she gets it, no other time (it's when we come home from being out, so usually afternoon time) and it has meant she doesn't ask any other time. I think having a set time makes it easier as then she knows where she stands.

All mums have this constant thing of questioning ourselves, wondering if we are doing everything we can and beating ourselves up about any minor indiscretion. What's most important to remember is that both sienna and aria are happy, healthy and loved, and you give them your all. You can't do any more than that. With sleeping, my 3.5yo still doesn't sleep all night, nor my 9mo. Some kids just don't sleep as well as others, but they all get there eventually

How do the sizes run? I'm thinking this would make an ideal school coat for next year and want to make sure I get the right size.

Attachment parenting is about so much more than co sleeping, baby wearing etc. Plenty of attachment parents do neither of those things - it's not about being literally attached to your baby! It's about the mindset in the way you deal with behaviour etc.

I am more relaxed with no2 because, as with you, he is a much "clingier" baby than no1 was and needs held constantly. With no1 I would have worried what people thought about that - now I don't care!

Congratulations on doing so well! I'm sure that you will go from strength to strength - it gets so much easier once these first few rough weeks are behind you. Henry is a lucky boy to have such a dedicated mum x

Lovely :) the furniture you have is exactly what I am planning for baby no2s nursery as well, so it's great to see it "in action" and see that it is practical and gorgeous. Now just to wait for your little man to come along!

It's not always easy being a mum
It's not always easy being a mummy. You can have the greatest kid in the world - or close to it - but sometimes it just isn't easy. It's been tough here lately. Not for any real reason that I can put my finger on, just a whole load of things conspiring to m...
