Atheistically pleasing space. Cool book related products, tee-shirts and bags, as well as a great, creative selection of books. My favorite part is the author talks Kepler's organizes. Very cool!

This independent neighborhood bookstore is a true gem. Knowledgable, helpful staff who truly care about the business and its customers. If a book is out of stock or they don't carry it, they are more than happy to order it for you to be delivered to the store with no obligation to buy it right then.

Wonderful, independent bookstore with helpful and knowledgeable staff! Kepler's has rebounded from a low point some years ago and put their efforts and money into their stock. Selection is great, and they have an amazing number of author events.

Once Kepler was "Silicon Valley's" Bookstore. Not that long ago Keplers was bustling, had great selection, and a obligatory stop for authors. Now it is a shadow of its former self. Bookstores are dying; even B&N and Borders are suffering. Ecommerce and ebooks have taken its toll. Sad.
Response from the owner - 4 years ago
Where else but Silicon Valley would readers so quickly embrace eBooks? Yes, we’ve seen a huge migration of our readers to digital. But don’t count us out. We’re still here. In the bookstore, we’ve responded by opening up the floor space to allow for better presentation of our selections. We’ve moved our Kids sections up the front -- close to the restrooms! – and created The Roy Kepler Pavilion in its former location. This is an exclusive space for our Author Series, providing a more intimate and pleasant experience for an speakers and event attendees. The Pavilion is a community meeting place also available for use by small businesses. And, for people who prefer to read digitally, we are selling Google eBooks™ at I hope that you’ll come in again and check it out. Clark Kepler

One of the last independent bookstores in the Peninsula. Kepler's staff is very helpful and always has great recommendations if you ask. Throughout the store, there are also great handwritten staff book recommendations. Be sure to like Kepler's Facebook page, there is usually a weekly author event for those who want to listen, meet their favorite author and get their books signed. Kepler's also has a great children's and teen's sections. Free parking is underground.

An excellent community-based establishment that celebrates and promotes literacy. It has a great selection of books, too.
