DJ Case, known as Coast2Coast Mixtape DJ, found about his enthusiasm for mixing music at a very young age. Equipped with CD players and a mixer console which he obtained at a flea market, he managed to rock birthdays and house parties. With age he developed a feeling for music and began to mix and publish his own CDs. In 2004, a club cashier got one of his CDs and was instantly amazed by his CD. The club cashier then forwarded the CD to the club owner. The club owner also identified DJ Case’s talent and invited him to practice sessions in his club. Despite of his inexperience and rather limited record collection, DJ Case – due to his talent and sense of music – managed to obtain a resident job at the club. The job as resident DJ enabled him to gain more experience and work on his tactfulness. In the same year, he got the chance to prove his talent in front of approximately 3,000 people at the opening program of the German rapper “Kool Savas”. After his performance, DJ Case knew that his aim was to be a major player in the German club scene.
After he graduated from his apprenticeship program, he had saved enough money to purchase his first professional turntables and mixer console. Substantive self-promotion in distinguish social media networks such as Myspace, Facebook and Twitter raised awareness about his presence which enabled him to secure regular bookings.
In 2008, DJ Case got to know his
current acquaintance and event manager “Nate Da Great” (Black
Urban Entertainment). Nate Da Great took DJ Case under his wings and
provided him with regular performances, amongst others as support for
renowned American Hip Hop and RnB artists such as Llyod, Dem
Franchize Boyz, Fatman Scoop, DJ B Killa, etc. In 2008, he began to
collaborate with Coast2Coast USA which resulted in DJ Case publishing
a monthly mixtape CD, available at www.coast2coastmixtapes.com. With
his “The Club Edition” and “Lunchhour Music” Mixtapes he
reached the one million mark in downloads. At the same time, he
launched his own radio show at internet radios such as
www.bmradio.de. Guest performances at JAM FM, Stopbeefinradio.com and
Hot97 soon followed. In addition, he runs the Hip Hop Ain’t Dead
Radio Show at banglounge.fm on a monthly basis. In 2011, DJ Case took
on event management and planned his own events with Lil Jon and 112.
Recently DJ Case worked with Diggy Simmons and Terrence J (BET) and founded his own DJ crew together with DJ Ben Carter– R.O.C. City Deejays.
