Island-style breakfast & lunch fare, pizza & coffee, plus a lanai overlooking 26 miles of coastline.- Google
"Not to mention their iced coffee, or their roast beef sandwich."
"That said, we did enjoy our breakfast and the fresh baked breads."

Except for the par island service (and slight wait, which was worth it), everything else was exceptional: the view, the food, the coffee - one of the highlights of my trip to the Hawaiian islands. Having coffee that is grown, roasted, and brewed right there makes for an indulgent experience. I would recommend making The Coffee Shack one of your stops when you find yourself in Kona.

Liliko'i cheesecake is to die for!!! This is my favorite place to have liliko'i cheesecake. When they're busy or full, I just get my food to go and sit on wall. It's not just for tourists. Kona is my hometown and I just love absorbing that breathtaking view.

Fantastic little place right on the main road, this is a must for breakfast or lunch. Eggs were perfect, bacon was perfect, and cinnamon bun was delicious with a cream cheese frosting. I say the cost to quantity ratio is spot on.

My wife and I stopped there for lunch on a Thursday and we were seated after a very short wait. After about a 10 minute wait our order was taken for a bowl of the soup of the day (for me) and a salad (for the little lady). We had decided to have a light lunch to save ourselves for the Macadamia nut pie and coffee. It took about 45 minutes for these items to be served. When we were finished with those, and after a bit-too-long of another wait, we ordered the pie and coffee. After more waiting, we were presented with our check, but no pie or coffee. In all, we spent 1.5 hours there for only the soup and the salad. We "get" the concept of island time, but, really, this was way beyond reasonable. The food was fine but not worth the wait and "relaxed" service. Nothing about our experience would make us return.

Love this place- the best homemade sandwiches, salads and great coffee with their homemade pies! My favorite is coconut cream. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
