The barangay was named after the Amsic tree called "Agoo" that symbolizes stability.
The name of the barangay is derived from kamuting absican (a type of sweet potato,
on which the worm cannot be eaten).
· Don Angel Pantaleon de Miranda discovered the barangay on 1929, who also discovered Angeles. Aeta are the very first who lived in this area .
