Reactions to Flossing Evidence
The dental profession reacted to the news-breaking story by the Associated Press last week about the lack of scientific evidence for flossing. The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) said it continues to recommend daily flossing. The American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) also issued a statement that supports flossing. Several companies chimed in on the media buzz, particularly if they produce products considered to be an alternative to floss.
