We invite you to experience the wine bounty of Bella Italia. Enjoy one of our tasting flights, or experience the wonder and evolution of a full bottle as it opens to express nuance and subtlety in the glass. Most importantly, see what the excitement is all about!

A "shuckout" with $1 oysters at the outside Terrace Bar.
If you love oysters, this is the event for you.  Eat as many as you want because we'll be shucking oysters by the bushel and we won't stop till they're gone.

This review is dedicated to the patio. Some may not love it, but I think it's one of the best around. Spacious seating, not too crowded, consistent table service, tasty cocktails (love the cucumber one!!) and you can lazily order pita chips and really delicious hummus! Great summer spot for after work drinks!

Best seafood ever. Oysters were perfect. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Legal is a fixture in Cambridge and will always be my go to seafood place. I've been visiting since the mid 1970s

Very poor service, and poor/mediocre food with 1 exception. Would NOT recommend and will never return. Myself and 2 family members went for dinner at 8:45pm on a Sunday; late in the week/day (they close at 10pm), but no less deserving of good food and service, particularly at the prices they charge. I ordered the sockeye wild salmon special which the menu noted comes with grilled endive and mashed potatoes. The other 2 in my dinner party ordered the wood fired scallops with the brown rice and broccoli side dishes. The menu indicates the broccoli comes with cheese sauce. THE SERVER DIDN'T KNOW THE MENU. What did we get? I got THE WRONG MEAL which was also very poorly cooked: dry salmon with overcooked spinach, nothing else. My family got dry brown rice (so dry it was crispy...obviously had been sitting around for a LONG time), plain broccoli (no cheese sauce), and their scallops. After we got our food, the server did not come over to ask how our meal was. I had to get up and ask her for my mashed potatoes and my family had to ask for the cheese sauce. Her response was "We only give the cheese sauce if someone asks for it." Um, the menu says broccoli and cheese. If what she said is true, it is her responsibility as the server to ask if they wanted the sauce WHEN THEY WERE ORDERING. Instead of getting a new side of broccoli with cheese sauce, the server asked my family to put their broccoli on their bread dishes and she would then have the cheese sauce put on. I did get my mashed potatoes. Unfortunately I was so tired I forgot I should have gotten endive instead of spinach. The bill noted a side of spinach with the salmon. Before leaving, I asked the hostess if I could see the menu again. My meal was described coming with the endive and potatoes, and other meals come with TWO sides. How did the server get a single side of spinach out of that?! And if she wasn't sure about which sides I wanted, she should have come back to ask me. The only saving grace was the scallops; they were sweet and cooked perfectly. Though good, they were definitely not worth the $100 we paid for the meal, and certainly not enough to ever entice me back to that restaurant. Quite frankly, I'm not sure I'll ever go to another Legal Sea Foods again.

Bad service, food is ok but too cheesy, one cannot taste the seafood well. Shrimps with big rock of salt in it. We ordered more bread and it NEVER came ! Overall, it is ok but really poor to taste good seafood.

Food was bland and service was slow. Not all the hype. The wine was great!

The restaurant resembled more of a factory than a fine dining establishment: mediocre meals were churned out without thought or care, the service was dismal and the prices laughable. We won't be returning.

Verty expensive, but worth it on certain important events. You need to get the scallops. Delicious
