"That July air felt sticky-thick with humidity, melody, joy, all of the above — an energy potent enough to make you wonder if the Beatles had discovered a way to describe the breadth of human emotion through rock-and-roll, or if they taught us how to feel our emotions in the first place."

Recently heard this song on an episode of The West Wing. It is played as a representation of the Korean word "Han". Later, President Bartlett (Martin Sheen) tries to explain the meaning of Han:

"There is no literal English translation. It's a state of mind. Of soul, really. A sadness. A sadness so deep no tears will come. And yet still there's hope."

Feels like this is appropriate today.
