By comparison, Australia is very low taxing (25% as a proportion of GDP) - lower than any country in the EU.  see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_tax_revenue_as_percentage_of_GDP and https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2016/03/who-pays-the-most-tax-in-the-EU

What's the situation where you live?
These are the countries with the highest tax burdens.

Limiting global consumption of meat for the health of the planet, and you...
Reducing global meat consumption will be critical to keeping global warming below the ‘danger level’ of two degrees Celsius, the main goal of the climate negotiations in Paris.

Pitfield Square in Shoreditch is a new urban space, where Cycle Superhighway 1 crosses the apex of the Inner Ring Road. A flush sandstone cycle track crosses the new pocket public space, simply bordered by trees, benches and cycle racks.

Spot the TfL Tube trial... Great idea borrowed from HK's MRT to speed up boarding and alighting.

(4.5*) Very good casual bistro food, not many veggie options but the Bollywood Vegan Burger was surprisingly good and their frites are amazing! Salads also generous and tasty. Beautiful spot in the square with plenty of sun, staff were welcoming. Wine a little sharpish.

Vintage 80s from shrimp cocktails to curry and chips - the television station signal showing the number of Chicken Kievs sold, this is a great place to relive your childhood (if you happened to grow up in the UK in the 80s) or engage in some gentle fauxtalgia. Friendly service. Open and loud, good place for groups.

This theatre in the basement of Kings College London near the LSE has a distinctly 60s academic feel, and the bar area can get quite crowded due to the awkward layout. Once inside the theatre hall, however, nothing is lacking from the full theatre experience, and the Peacock has an excellent line up of events. The seats are quite comfortable (much better than the Royal Opera House but not as nice as Sadlers Wells).

Great value meals - €10.90 for both a beautiful soup, and a huge mixed hot food bowl. With dessert (crumble) only €2 extra. You can also choose a fresh (salad, rice and seed) bowl instead. Today's soup was Butternut squash, courgette and carrot. The hot bowl had lentils, bulgar wheat, pumpkin, salad and more. Worth coming if you love vegetables, even if you're not veg / vegan.
