By comparison, Australia is very low taxing (25% as a proportion of GDP) - lower than any country in the EU.  see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_tax_revenue_as_percentage_of_GDP and https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2016/03/who-pays-the-most-tax-in-the-EU

What's the situation where you live?
These are the countries with the highest tax burdens.

Pitfield Square in Shoreditch is a new urban space, where Cycle Superhighway 1 crosses the apex of the Inner Ring Road. A flush sandstone cycle track crosses the new pocket public space, simply bordered by trees, benches and cycle racks.

Limiting global consumption of meat for the health of the planet, and you...
Reducing global meat consumption will be critical to keeping global warming below the ‘danger level’ of two degrees Celsius, the main goal of the climate negotiations in Paris.

The Oasis, a 25m high green wall by Patrick Blanc, is still immaculately beautiful 3 years on. It's a real relief to the urbanity of narrow Rue d'Aboukir, and/or a destination to aim for at the top of the foodie Rue Mortorgeuil. A little wellspring of chic shops now cluster around the square, selling cookies, lemonade and menswear (well, mens-anything). Worth a visit.

Hard to miss below the Oasis D'Aboukir, this consummate men's micro-department store has a café, barber, shop with multipurpose leather wallets, timber turntables, even a corner with beer and humidors. Expect to part with your money in exchange for style.

We had a beautiful fresh salad and vegetable tagine, mint tea that took us back to the Atlas Mountains and mouthwatering sweets, with an emphasis on almond-based flavours (Laouz also recommends you eat almonds every day for your health). Their bread and flatbread is also incredible. If you're in the heart of Paris and after some excellent Maghreb cuisine, look no further!
