Spot the TfL Tube trial... Great idea borrowed from HK's MRT to speed up boarding and alighting.

I like the clarity of this. I've seen a few cases of cyclists and pedestrians being designed into conflict.

Ah the danger of the half-baked idea...

On one level the study probably rightly predicts interchange stress between modes (= Finsbury Park) though not road because parking is a additional constraint in London. On another level the model is completely wrong, because it is predicated on a car-based transit model...

Study suggests London Underground may be 'too fast' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-34334794
A modelling study suggests that if London Underground trains travelled slower, there might be less overall congestion.

Another classic Granger & Co, although the long thin configuration is a little awkward and the staff here not very attentive. Fills up quickly. Area a little dead on weekends. Good food.

A little slice of Australia in London. High windows and the lush wooded churchyard nearby make this feel like a parkland cafe, only warm and beautifully fitted out, with great food. Perfect for crisp sunny Sunday brunches.

The birthplace of ping pong (actually the bithplace of the trademark name - probably the former lawyers office) is a haven (or den) for ping pong - dozens of tables, limitless balls. Interspersed booths for drinking and a long bar make this the perfect after work venue. Table bookings essential. They have a raft of recommended variations - or you can go for beer pong, since more than a couple of balls are sure to fly in to neighbouring drinks.
