Wow - just wow! Ba Ba Dum (http://bit.ly/1dAgSR9) is an online language learning game that you won't be able to stop playing - I know I couldn't. Its not only fun, but the graphics, animations and sounds are all perfectly put together.
Hands down the coolest way to expand your vocabulary in 9 different languages with 1500 words and 5 variations of quiz-like games. Love the random multi-language mode - loads of fun if you're multilingual in different language groups.
Great job Aleksandra and !
The recent discovery of quantum vibrations in microtubules inside brain neurons corroborates this theory, according to review authors Stuart Hameroff and Sir Roger Penrose. They suggest that EEG rhythms (brain waves) also derive from deeper level microtubule vibrations, and that from a practical standpoint, treating brain microtubule vibrations could benefit a host of mental, neurological, and cognitive conditions.
Water seemingly rolling uphill Leidenfrost effect
When a drop of water hits a very hot surface, the drop's outer layer vaporizes, producing an insulating effect that causes it to skitter across a hot surface. This is known as the Leidenfrost effect. When water droplets hit a hot but smooth surface they tend to hop about in quite random directions, but researchers have found that when that hot surface has a saw-tooth-like texture, the droplets are only propelled in one direction. When contained and heated in an all-metal maze that's covered with a saw-tooth texture, it appears as if tiny droplets of water are able to navigate its complex design all by themselves.
Students Carmen Cheng and Matthew Guy used this Leidenfrost effect to build their Leidenfrost Maze, used in workshops and events with local school children: http://www.bath.ac.uk/news/2013/09/05/leidenfrost-maze/
