Well, everybody, TODAY’S THE DAY.

It’s Santa’s List Day, and that means that FINALLY, Santa is going to see the list of who’s been naughty and who’s been nice. So for all you parents of kids out there, and all you kids at heart, know that your efforts are being tabulated today, and that Red Rider BB Gun might be in the bag. And for all of you who’ve been naughty, well, you’re going to wish you’d left that last cookie for your brother when you yank that lump of coal out of your stocking on Christmas morning.

We’ve attached a log sample that may or may not have come from the North Pole- a little preview of eLogger’s staff’s current standing. (Geez, Andrew. You practically have enough coal by now to start your own power plant.)

As California fights to contain the fires that have left thousands homeless, and more with unknown damage to property, many of us are wondering what we can do to help.

Although terrifically well-intentioned, California leadership is cautioning against sending supplies, and asking instead that we direct our contributions to either the Red Cross (www.redcross.org), or Habitat for Humanity (www.habitat.org), both of whom are positioned to offer the specific assistance and relief that displaced Californians need most.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to our friends and eLogger family being affected by the wildfires out in California. We are hoping for your continued safety during these dangerous fires.

We also want to take a moment to thank the fire fighters, first responders, police, and volunteers helping to keep our family and friends safe.

For the latest information on the California fires, please visit the Cal Fire website at http://www.fire.ca.gov/current_incidents

Some big congratulations to Candice Vann, from Domtar Plymouth, and her husband for winning the best stuffed animals at their local county fair this October. What’s the secret good luck charm? It’s got to be the hat! Thanks Candice for allowing us to share this with our followers.

The holiday season brings expected and unexpected things. For those of us fortunate enough to have homes full of warmth, family, and food, this time of year is one of contentment and revitalization. But for many, this is a time of need rather than abundance. Many of our neighbors – locally, nationally, and internationally- are struggling.

Thankfully, there are incredible, devoted organizations working to help those in need, both around the holidays, and all year long. In honor of those organizations, we at eLogger encourage you to believe that you don’t have to be a millionaire to help.

Today is Give to the Max Day in Minnesota, a day when we’re all called to offer whatever we can to help those who are struggling. Every single penny counts. eLogger partners with Best Christmas Ever, United Way of Carlton County, the Against Malaria Foundation, PAVSA, Young Life Outreach Center, Kingdom Builders Ministries, and Feed My Starving Children. If you can join us in supporting either one of these organizations, or an organization you’ve found that speaks to your heart for giving, we’ll be working together to do any part we can in making this season a little bit brighter. #givetothemax
