I'm a wedding photographer in Costa Rica so I've been to this location several times. However, for a treat I brought my boyfriend from Canada on my last visit. Our stay was heaven! We had a "standard room" but it was anything but standard. We sat on our private balcony and watched macaws fly by and we were completely surrounded by jungle. We dined breakfast, lunch and dinner and were treated like VIP guests. The views are incredible and the customer service is amazing. This is one of the nicest places I've stayed in the world.

Stayed in very nice large villa with equally large balcony and hot tub. Views over hills and down to the ocean were great, regular spottings of scarlet macaws flying past. Food at restaurant is nice but fairly pricey.

Went ther for dinner, and "unbelievable" would not even describe the sunset, view and food! An absolute "must do!"

This is the most exquisite hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! The Employees are friendly, the views are amazing, the rooms are unique, but luxurious. Can't wait to go back.

stunning place, great infiniti pool, great views over the pacific with stunning sunsets, good dinner restaurants, try the surf & turf! they have a private beach which is ok but not that great, rooms are nice too, housekeeping was very slow and late probably because they had too many rooms to service, maybe better hire more staff. no breakfast buffet. breakfast food was very American style, not so great breads.

My husband and I recently returned from a vacation at Villa Caletas where we spent 4 days and 3 beautiful nights. I wouldn't use the word "hotel" to describe this wonderful place. It felt more like a trip to HEAVEN surrounded by the Garden of Eden. The staff were very generous and attended to our every need, the resturant provided the freshest food, and the view was indescribable. On our final night the sky was lit up with beatiful fireworks and the timing couldn't of been any better ;-) My husband and I will defintely be revisiting this place in the future.

Bad experience with the hotel staff, we were booked to travel in June 2014 but we lost a family member and the hotel could not work with us to reschedule our vacation. Many emails and calls later and we were still being taken round in circles. We stand to loose the reservation and air ticket costs however Delta airline was nice enough to cancel our flight at no cost and re-book us on another flight as long at the tickets were of the same value. I have never seen such inhuman reaction from any hotel I have ever visited. Hopefully no one else has our experience because we did not choose to have death in the family on the week of our planned vacation.
