What scares us most isn't being seen as ugly. What scares us most is the idea of being truly seen at all.

Harassment, using laws that were invalidated a decade ago. Sounds like intentional persecution to me...unless they are going to claim ignorance of the laws they are supposed to enforce. I guess that could well be, considering some of the other crazy going on in that state. Good going, Louisiana police. Gays, better stick to the French Quarter in New Orleans.

(Emmanuel Barbee’s Challenge To The Black Church)

Attention:  All persons with spiritual titles on my friends list with such titles as Apostles; Bishops; Elders; Evangelists; Pastors; Prophets/Prophetesses; Ministers; and Reverends I am requesting your assistance in joining my cause “Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos” by purchasing my book "The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, and Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America" Second Edition.  If you agree with my vision then allow me the opportunity to speak at your congregation.

My critics claim that they want to see my organization established before they will get involved.  I keep on explaining to them that it takes capital/seed money first before anyone can start a business that is why I wrote my book to raise money to start my organization GRCAM.  I assist others who have accepted my hand of friendship with finding college scholarships - grants, small business grants; housing; legal services and employment on a national level all for free. I don’t ask for donations all I ask is for those on my friends list who care about black issues and who can afford my book to purchase the book and read it. If you agree with what I am trying to do in Urban America then work with me instead of sitting back to find fault with my approach.  In contrast, those of you on my friends list who careless about my cause or disagree with my vision have no place in my organization or in my life.  Please delete me off your page we can remain strangers for life.

In the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement (GRCAM) we are going to deal head on with social class, religion and skin complexion better known as the Willie Lynch mentality. We will also end Gun Violence, Poverty, and Structural Inequality within the communities and cities that we will serve.  First, I want to promote my book in hopes to generate capital in order to offer incentives to thirty talented individuals who reside within the state of Illinois or beyond who have read my book and agree with my vision and all of the principles in my book to join my board of directors and work with me directly in getting my book on the best sellers list.

Secondly, I want to find film directors and play directors who have also read my story and agree with what I am trying to do in Urban America to assist me in turning my book into a movie and a play. Once the cash flow begin coming in from my book sells, movie, and plays then I will start hiring others who have been working with me starting in Chicago and eventually in 25 cities within 25 states in America.

GRCAM is about saving lives, helping the Urban Poor, and fight for social justice. What sets GRCAM apart?  We will do cooperative alliance beyond the black community and create partnerships with other organizations that will work with our cause. Rather than provide short-term aid, we will work directly in local communities to create lasting solutions to end poverty by  creating legitimate jobs. We’re independent and privately owned. We stand alone in our refusal of government  assistance. We will not accept money from financial elites who would compromise our ability to make decisions independently or to speak freely about injustice.

GRCAM will be deeply committed to community-based work.  We believe that human rights are fundamental and nonnegotiable. The UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which state that all people to safety, a voice in the decisions that affect them, equality, basic social services, and a secure means of earning a living.  As soon as I am able to get GRCAM established in Chicago I plan to expand to 25 other cities within 25 states in America. GRCAM will complete the unfinished business our grandparents started by pushing for a new Black America to assist our future generations who are trapped in American ghettos, by assisting those families in reaching their personal life goals here in America; Africa; Brazil; the Caribbean Islands and throughout the black Diaspora.

As part of GRCAM International, we would then be able to do a global campaign, uniting around some of the world’s biggest problems to achieve far-reaching solutions. I call upon all Christians, Muslims, and Secular people on my friends list to read my book if you agree with my vision and all of the principles in my book then I would like to hear from you. If you are unable to afford my book please share my information with your family and friends who care about black issues and who can afford my book. This is my contribution back to my community and my people worldwide. Real Christian Socialist online

Speaking Engagements: Emmanuel Barbee, founder and president of, the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement (GRCAM) is now available for public speaking engagements at community events; schools; universities; non-profit organizations; companies; private events; and places of worship. #Exodus International is shutting down and opening up a new organization, under a new name. I'm worried about the harm they will continue to reap upon #LGBTQ  people, even with better intentions, but for today, I'm thinking of all the #exgaysurvivors  I've had the honor of meeting over the years.
