So, does anyone know about any cpu scaling governors that reduce overhead but are still responsive to sudden load requirements?  I'm seeing this nice evolution on Android where the stakes are higher: battery life, responsiveness, smoothness.

Would you guys be interested in some cpufreq governor ports?  The ondemand governor already is tuned to get out of the way during high load, but I think there's room for more power savings too that ondemand can't satisfy without introducing more latency.

Ugh, HostGator blocked apt-get traffic to my site thinking I was getting DOS'd.  No, Liquorix grew.

Switched to IntoVPS for an unmanaged server where the sys admins don't treat you like dirt.

$ git fetch zen-kernel
ERROR: GitHub is offline for maintenance. See for more info.
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly

So this is the real end of the mayan calendar.  A maintenance window.

I'm so happy I learned about pbuilder-dist.  Now I can build about 20 packages of Liquorix, multi-threaded per package, at a time on a remote host with powerful raw processing power.  I'm getting goosebumps thinking of all the possibilities.

For anyone that doesn't know already, Zen-Kernel is temporarily available at  Here, Jan and I have been providing regular updates like before with the added benefit of github's reliability.  And if you really want to, github lets you submit pull requests to streamline your patch inclusion.

Just remember to choose the right branch in the pull request, or send an email to our Zen-Kernel google groups to add a new feature.

Happy Fall everyone!

I wish the Debian wine packages just worked. They don't, and I don't have time to dick around. Better wines packages are now in Liquorix repos.

Happy Singles Awareness Day!
