Steve Minich is one of Maine's most versatile news reporters.
While Steve covers a wide variety of news, his passion continues to be reporting on the people and places that make Maine such a special place to live and visit.
A native of Coral Gables, Fla., Steve received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ohio State University in 1979.
Steve' broadcasting career spans more than 30 years. Out of college, he joined WSYX-TV in Columbus, Ohio, in 1979, where he worked 11 years as a sportscaster. He arrived in Maine at News 8 in 1991, working first in sports before eventually joining the news team.
Steve's reporting has earned him an Emmy Award, as well as numerous awards from the Associated Press and Maine Association of Broadcasters.
Steve sits on the board of directors of Camp Mowglis for Boys in East Hebron, N.H.
