Hello, I live in Paris and I work in the movie business as a producer, but I'm passionate crazy about photos. It all started 6 years ago when I was on holidays and a designer showed me what you could do with Photoshop to enhance photos, I immediately bought the Canon 350D and did a lot of training to learn photography and retouching. I mainly learned from reading Scott Kelby's books and Matt Kloskowski training over at photoshopuser.com Since then I bought the Canon 5d and 7D and I use Photoshop CS 5 and Lightroom 3. I also use Nik software plug in, Photomatix and autopanopro I worked on a project for the last 6 years called "Paris Cinéma", the idea was to take beautiful moments of lights in Paris to give them a movie look. Some of the photos are heavily retouched, some are not at all. All that matters to me is the emotional impact. Lately I started doing portraits compositing. Meaning taking a person on a neutral background and mix that up with a nice background. If you want to know more about my retouching techniques, you can check out my Iphone/Ipad apps on using Lightroom and Photoshop at : Retouching tutorials Iphone/Ipad apps I hope you like what I do if you have any technical questions do not hesite to ask. I still have a lot to learn and share ! Serge

Zion National Park,

I really loved this Park, it is my favorite, I was really impressed by the beauty of this place. On that night I was very lucky to have this beautiful sunset!
I would love to go back there at another season to have different colors in the trees because I went there in winter. Also I used this photo in my last course Photoshop for Photographers 2017 to show you how to use camera raw go check it out if you are interested, it's on my website photoserge.com

This is a black and white shot I took, frame in a frame I love doing that.
It was in San Marco, early morning. It is part of my new Venice fine art book.

Santa Maria della Salute, Venice
I took this photo from the Accademia Bridge, this is a sunrise shot. My tip to get a good sunrise is to not have the sun straight into your lens because it create a white spot that is not so nice. So for this shot I waited for the sun to be behind the church that way I still have the morning mood of the photo. Also I used my app smooth reflection on my Sony to make this long exposure and I am very happy of the result because with an ND filter I would have lens flare. Hope you guys enjoy this one!

Piazza San Marco, Italy.
I tried to find a different angle and so @meidany.bnw helped me to find this composition. I love doing frame in the frame, I did this long exposure with the app smooth reflection it erased most of the people and I didn't have to use an ND filter. I think the harder thing to do when shooting a city is to find an interesting foreground so I think this worked out well!

Vatican, Rome.
I took this photo during my workshop in Italy, it was a lot of fun!
That day we didn't have an amazing sky but once we arrived there to take this photo it became beautiful and very saturated. There were a lot of plants along the water and I had to remove them in photoshop but I also composed my photo to not see so much of distracting high frequency texture in the foreground. Also I don't know if you can see that but there was an ad on the vatican for a car and I removed it and replaced it by this photo so it is a bit of a inception look!
