The Rugby League season never stops, with the 2014/15 Lebanese Rugby League Federation Championship set to kick off this weekend in Tripoli.

Scotland Rugby League have qualified for the 2016 Rugby League Four Nations after finishing top of the 2014 European Championship Ladder.

In the end, it came down to for and against to get the Bravehearts over the line, with both Ireland and France finishing on equal wins.

Congratulations Scotland!

The French Chanticleers have defeated Scotland overnight 38 - 22 in the penultimate game of the 2014 European Championship.

Despite the victory, France will miss qualifying for the 2016 Rugby League Four Nations by just 3 points.

Ireland has a chance of now leap frogging Scotland if they can defeat Wales by 40 points or more.

The Flekkefjord Tigers have won the inaugural Rugby League Norge Southern Cup held in Farsund.

Massive Sunday in International Rugby League so far.

In Sydney, the Latin Heat have defeated Portugal 40 - 6 at Woollahra Oval, whilst down at Remondis Stadium, the Fiji  Bati was too strong for the Lebanon Cedars, running out 40 - 28 victors.

In Lae, the Papua New Guinea Kumuls were too strong for Mate Ma'a Tonga running out 32 - 18 victors.

Whilst in Thailand the inaugural Phuket Nines tournament was held with Phuket Vagabond winning the Cup, Bangkok Yak Sa the Trophy, Esarn Thunder (Nth Est Thailand) the Plate Finals.

Whilst in Belgrade, we still have Bosnia-Herzegovina v Hungry (3rd v 4th Playoff) and Serbia v Greece (Final) to come to help decide the Balkans Championship. (Live Stream:

Friday Night International Results:

In the opening game of the 2014 European Championship, Scotland has run out convincing 42 - 18 winners over Wales in Workington.  Danny Brough did the majority of the damage, scoring 3 tries and converting 11 goals to see the Bravehearts open their campaign with a win.

Meanwhile in Serbia, Round One of the Balkans Championship saw Serbia defeat Hungry 50 - 0, whilst Greece defeated Bosnia-Herzegovina 58 - 4.

Round One of the 2014 European Championship kicks off this weekend, and with a spot in the 2016 Rugby League Four Nations & 2017 World Cup on offer, the 32nd European Championship is set to be one of the most fiercely contested ever!

There's an extra incentive for Wales and Ireland this European Championship.

If either the Dragons or Wolfhounds win, not only will they qualify for the 2016 Rugby League Four Nations but will also secure a spot at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup with the likes of England, France and Scotland.

Can the Welsh or Irish win the tournament? Or will the likes of Scotland and France be too strong?
