Articles from "Uncategorized" and "All" are opened in new window. It's really annoying since i use Feedly as an application (special Chrome mode) and it open not a tab but a new browser window.

It will be good to mark article as readed after opened it. Several times opened last unread article, read it and close entire page. Next time article was always marked as not readed.
I got used to close them before closing the page, but this action is redundant.

"Keep unread" just not working! Pressed several times, saw unread numbers, closed page... Next time got "No unread articles".
It was a second time, so this is not a connection bug or something.

До 2ГИС ещё очень далеко, особенно в Новосибирске. Уже год как в новом здании работаем, а на картах Гугла даже строящихся нет.

+Yonatan Zunger English is not my native language, so excuse me for errors in my text. But it is not the first time Google closing (or sell like Sketch Up) products that are major part of my life. I will not ask to preserve reader (it IS already dead), but I want to say that in two years Google transfers from company I will be happy to work in to company I probably never go to work.
Let's back to Reader. This was a simple, quick and easy way to read all news I am interested in in one place. g+ and other social network was never been able to display information somehow to achieve this goal.
1. Group many sources with ability to access specific source.
2. Show only unreaded posts or highlight them.
3. Show count of unreaded posts in specific source/group.
Circles in g+ partially solve these tasks, but they have too complicated UI, that takes extra clicks to do the same.
More over, I think Reader was perfect social service before you launch g+. Earlier I can read news from my friends, now I can't read anything because all of them stops posts them at all. I tried to post news through g+, but it transforms them to something unreadable - resized or deleted images, transformed layout, small width.
Google Reader perfect solve simple task - to inform me about latest news I interested in. G+ tryes to combine all (reader, picasaweb...), but in result it lacks clearness and demands extra time to do the same things.
I have a question for avid Google Reader users: what are the aspects of the way Reader works that made it so useful for you? I've heard a number of things floated in the past day -- e.g., the particular sources available, the way of managing read/unread state, various aspects of the UI -- but I'd like to understand better what the concrete things about Reader were which people found the most useful, because I'd like to integrate those ideas into future versions of many Google products, and try to capture that value.

(NB: If you're seeing this via a reshare, please remember to comment on the original post if you want me to see what you're saying!)

Warning: This is not a thread to simply complain about the shutdown, or to ask Google to keep Reader. That's not something that I can help you with, nor is it a decision that I had anything to do with, and this is not a good place to get anyone's attention about that. This thread is a place to talk about specific things which are useful about it so that we can think about good ways to capture that usefulness in the modern world.

Comments which disregard the previous paragraph will simply be deleted. Comments complaining about my deleting those comments will result in me blocking and/or mercilessly mocking you for failing to read instructions. Comments complaining about that will lead to some interesting replies in a combination of languages, probably starting with Yiddish and moving on from there. Comments interested in the Yiddish language should instead go on my post from last night. (http://goo.gl/xxn7h, but I should say that I'm not an expert or a fluent speaker of the language)

NB: The comments have filled up! Please check out my comment at the end of the post.
