The teaser title was "Preventing The Chocpocalypse."
The horticulturist Paul Hadley, at the Cocoa Quarantine Centre, in Reading, England, is working to keep cacao plants free from attack by diseases and pests.

“Theobroma cacao,” he exhaled—the scientific name given to chocolate by Linnaeus—stretching out his arms as though to embrace his products in a loving hug. “Theos, god. Broma, food. The food of the gods.”

I guess I should post this on another site, but have any of you out there switched to iPhone 5 from Android? What do you think? Can you live without Google Maps? I have a 4G LTE phone with Verizon, but the battery is dying (all three of them), and I'm eligible for a new phone. Newer Androids are all bigger than my HTC Thunderbolt, though thinner, and I want a phone that is easier to carry in a pocket than the Tbolt. As far as I can tell, the only newer model out there that is 4G LTE, newer generation, and smaller is the iPhone. My must have app is a good mapping and public transportation app. Suggestions?

Sony Xperia phones (P and T) are smaller, but apparently not available through Verizon. I just can't use the smaller iPhone screen any more.

We heard a bunch of the honkers going over our house late last night. They are way more interesting to listen to than the M-80's.

I purchased a baguette traditional at the end of a run. It paired wonderfully with an apricot confiture and demi sel butter (salty butter from Normandy, by American standards. It gave a well-considered toothy texture to my jam and butter breakfast nosh.
