Service here was top notch. Was very impressed with how well the staff treated us. The 5-6pm cocktail hour was great and really gave the hotel a visiting a friend vibe. Lots of fun!

Great central location, walkable to the Pearl District and Nob Hill, and close to some must-dine restaurants. Staff were helpful, charming and more than accommodating of our (unannounced) early check-in. Beautifully stylish and spacious rooms, but my company was the best part.

Hotel hitting way above it's "pay grade". Not only is this hotel funky and comfortable, service is excellent. Excellent attention to detail. That's what makes a hotel. Complimentary happy hour drinks and ice cream are just some of what makes this place great. Plus they let us take our bikes in. ;)

Arrived 01/17/2015, departed 01/18/2015 all the Hotel staff were excellent, but i would expect this for the price they charge per night!! The room was 407 on the corner of the hotel, which over looked two streets. The only thing wrong with the room was the toilet/bathroom fan did not work. The hotel restaurant was another matter!! We ate Lunch & Dinner. The lunch menu was small with few choices & like most of the restaurant in the area the menu's are over complicated in there names & ingredients & portions were small!! Sadly for me i had a bad experience at dinner? My Black Cod was under cooked (& am sorry but Cod is like boiling an egg? it's not that hard) after pointing this out they took it away & 10 mins later return the same piece cooked!! I was expecting a fresh fully cooked piece of Black Cod!! (clearly different standards in 4/5 star hotels in Portland) The desert was equally disappointing!! what we ordered clearly had been frozen & not completely defrosted, so was dry & tasteless. This was not taken off the final bill like the Black Cod was!! Would i return? No!! the Hotel was nice, but not worth the price & i would give the Restaurant a miss in the future.

whether you're human or canine, this hotel has you taken care of. upon entering you'll be greeted by an incredibly helpful and upbeat staff, as well as a sign welcoming all of the dogs visiting. amazing (and large) rooms will make you feel like you live there. the complementary afternoon apple cider and nightly beer and wine in the cozy & comfy hotel lounge, plus live music and classic communal games to play add to the great ambiance. doggie bowls, bed and toy for our furry friend was yet another pleasant surprise. the available doggie daycare was a nice option (though note that it's not free). this could honestly be one of (if not the) best hotel stays I've ever experienced, anywhere.

This was the best experience for my family. The staff is so friendly, the hotel is super hypoallergenic, the decor is outstanding and quirky and pet friendly. We had the best time and can't wait to stay there again. Amazing stay!

Oh yes, a truly great Hotel in Portland in a fantastic downtown location. The Red Star Tavern is a decent place for some grub but not really up to the luxury standard set by this fantastic hotel. I truly enjoyed myself here! The beds are absurdly comfortable, the decor is luxurious without being snobby. It is just a great five star Hotel.
