Here's my very short review of the year – sadly with the loss of my blog in September I lost last year's review so I can't make a comparison, but never mind, next year! I've learned to keep offline copies…

We had a very strange year, we took on 43 new dogs for walking and boarding, so we had lots of variety and new faces to enjoy. With 'natural' loss as people move, circumstances change and sadly some dogs do come to the end of their lives we finish the year with 16 more regular dogs than we started it with.

Dog walks (http://www.boredombustersdogservices.co.uk/walking.php)– we have an average of 6 dog walks every day, ranging from 2 to 4 dogs in each walk, and we have 3 dog walkers covering those. Some days we have an 'overflow' and one of the part timers will cover the extra dogs.

Puppies - (http://www.boredombustersdogservices.co.uk/puppies.php ) We have 4 puppies between the ages of 8-26 weeks on our books, who I get the pleasure of visiting – we've had 12 puppies in total we've cared for this year – some who have graduated to our group walks and are still with us as adults.

Dog Walkers (http://www.boredombustersdogservices.co.uk/meettheteam.php)  – I have 6 dog walkers working for me, three permanent, and three students who work at busy times for us. I also do professional dog walking training and mentoring, and have trained another 8 who are working for themselves in other areas of the country.

Dog training (http://www.boredombustersdogservices.co.uk/dogtraining.php) – I've trained around 120 dogs – or helped the owners train their dogs. This was through 7 puppy & beginner courses, private 'in-home' or at the park training, and through 4 workshops held regularly through the year. Stop Pulling on the Lead, Ready Steady Recall (my most popular workshop), No Jumping Up, and Taming Tearaway Terriers. New schedule for upcoming workshops, plus the NEW workshop which I am developing now will be announced in January.  We had the use of a training venue, which wasn't really as perfect as I wanted it to be, and we have now moved out. I really enjoyed my time there, and will miss it like crazy, but watch this space for news of what we're doing next.

I've had to be very restrained for this review, as I keep wanting to talk about the future, but today it's about looking back to see how the year has gone. Looking forward to see how we can do better in the future, and I hope to post up something of that nature in the next day or two.

I'd like to take this chance to thank everybody who has used our services in 2013, as well as all my staff. I have really enjoyed working with everyone, and especially with the dogs and I am full of plans and great things for the future. Without a great team of people to help me, and the best customers in Brentwood (and beyond!), I wouldn't have a firm footing to try out new ideas. Thank you all. xxx
