I'm a nationally published cookbook / guide book author published by Penguin. My guy and I were super excited to try Mashti's on an otherwise pleasant, warm evening during our first trip together to L.A. One star for terrible customer service from the girl behind the counter with anger issues. We live in Chicago and deal with a lot of angry passive aggressive baristas at the trendy cafes. But this girl was in a league of her own.The pistachio rose flavored ice cream was very nice. Would not go back. Also hated the seating choices. Dirty, poorly lit, uninviting tables inside and out. If you can take out or buy retail that's the way to go.

Great tasting and unique flavors like rosewater and cucumber. A hidden gem in Hollywood.

Interesting flavors! The herby one had 16 different herbs. Only complaint is its a little pricey for the single flavor. Nice staff though!

Inexpensive, flavors you have not imagined that sound bizarre but are delicious. Very friendly, helpful staff. Nice environment with seating for about 16.

The ice creams/sorbets here EXCEEDED my expectations!! Interesting & unique flavor combinations. Not what you would typically expect of ice cream. Super impressed with the quality, freshness and inventive flavor combos! I will definitely be returning! :)

Hidden, quiet area. Unique indian-unspired flavors. Definitely worth a visit, but not the best ice cream I've ever had.

I've been here several times and always order the sundae with the gooey gooey cake base. I first ordered the crack ice cream and it was very good though I feel that it didn't meet my expectations with all the hype I've heard about it. I came back and tried the sundae with coffee au lait ice cream and found this to be the best combination. This a must visit for everyone who visits Los Angeles. Great sundaes and very helpful staff willing to give you recommendations and samples.
