I was just at Paleo FX and had a ridiculous amount of collagen in the vendors' products. So I wanted to look deeper. I know a lot of you don't read stuff like this during breakfast, but I had a question. Does all this collagen intake raise my exposure to Advanced Glycation end-products (Compounds associated with all the "bad" effects we associate with aging). The answer was no, collage appears OK, but this study did make me re-think the intake of egg whites and sugar...(macaroon anyone?) The AGE's that accumulate in our lives—and ESPECIALLY for those with higher blood sugar, can be pretty high when you eat sugar and fructose with certain proteins. And it sure reinforces the elimination of high fructose and sugar from out diets.

Collagen in our coffee anyone?

Wise traditions - this is the weston price foundation's radio show. I had a nice conversation about how to make the personalized adjustments to your diet. This way you don't need to have blind faith in some diet "program" or paradigm. I follow a great deal of the Weston A Price way of eating but have modified away from dairy and sourdough bread. What's right for you? Listen in.
