The Marin County Superior Court, Legal Aid of Marin and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin would like to invite you to celebrate the second anniversary of our Marin Community Court program.
Since Marin Community Court first opened its doors as a pilot project in April 2011, it has quickly grown into an extraordinary community asset helping down-on-their-luck defendants clear up hundreds of citations and “get back on their feet,” according to the Marin Independent Journal. As one step in participants’ recovery process, success has been relatively easy to assess from analysis of client files and court records. Comments from participants, referred through a growing number of community agencies, including Ritter House, the Phoenix Project, Canal Alliance, CenterPoint, Homeward Bound, Novato Human Needs, Mill Street, Adopt-a-Family and many others, often say that the Marin Community Court is the best Court experience they ever had.
Please join us as we celebrate the success of the Marin Community Court so far, thank those who have made it an innovation for the community, and mark the beginning of our third year!
Light refreshments will be served from 5:30-7 pm
