Actually, it is an even deeper and of greater profound reality than is reported in this story, that is if the doctrine of the book of Romans is correct. The saint, that is the holy one of God, (to whom the book of Romans is addressed) is not only the reality that Jesus is substitute (sacrificed in place of) but moreover is identified with. It begins with Romans ch. 3-5 (substitute) culminates and climaxes with Romans 5:12-21 (introduction to identification) and then states it about a clear as the definition of the word clear as can be...

[Rom 6:1-11 KJV] 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

and the Galations spells it out and locks it in like a vice so that no man is able to argue...

[Gal 2:20 KJV] 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Each one of us, who is a member of the body of Christ should have the same love and respect as if it were Jesus himself face to face, because on a spiritual level, it is reality. It is Christ in you, anything less is untrue.

[Col 1:27 KJV] 27 To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Oh, this is fabulous.  Thank you so much for sharing.  Every Christian should be aware and knowledgeable to that whole section of Romans from 5:12 to 8:37 for it is the foundation  to the Christian faith.

Great teaching Don, thank you.  IIPet chapter one is one of my favorite areas of scripture.
It is marvelous that he begins with "... According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: ..."
It is written so clear that even I can understand it.

I'm looking forward to the rest of IIPet

Yes I do have a question, and it is rather detailed in description.
Michael, I called you on Saturday about this and what I will do is present what I have learned and what I have researched and then ask the question, is this in error?
I have recently discovered, thanks to TLTF that any time there is error, that information can be toxic.  I only want to discover and correct any error in my inventory of believing.

The greatest problem regarding manifestations of the gift of holy spirit, is that many people believe that certain people only receive one manifestation.  One person would receive speaking in tongues and someone else another manifestation and so forth.

The reason is two-fold, one is the added word "gifts" in 1Cor 12:7.  The other is the failure to understand the grammar in which this verse is read.  By a cursory reading, the reader will read the context of the manifestations that the "one" and the "another(s)" are referring back to the "every man".

For example, "... for to one [every man] is given..." and  "... to another [every man] ..."

This has been the common error which has lead to much confusion in the Christian church today.  My interest is the accuracy of God's Word, even in grammar.  Now I am not by any means an expert in Greek, nor in Greek grammar.  But I do know that Greek has grammatical laws that no one can argue with.  I am just not an expert.  I do however have some experience in our modern english grammar, and I'm hoping that someone with experience with Greek grammar can help with this.

This is what I was taught, and worked it this past summer when I was presented with a question about speaking in tongues.  Some of it I learned in PFAL and have carried it with me for years.

The phrase " to profit " is an infinitive.  An infinitive will take a verb and make it the subject by adding the word "to" in front of it.  This infinitive will take control of any related pronouns within the context.  By using this infinitive instead of the noun " every man" would be grammatically accurate.

For example:

"... for to one [profit] is given..."  and  "...to another [profit] ..."

However, the word "another" is not a pronoun, it is an adjective, according to my concordance.  An adjective is used to describe a noun.  Which begs the question, what noun is being described?  Is it " every man" or is it  " to profit"?

If "every man" is used, it does not fit grammatically.  When the  "to profit" is used, it fits grammatically.

The reason I bring this up is that God always seems to protect His Word from errors.  I want to have concrete evidence that will lock in the integrity of the Word like a vise.  I want to be able to present this evidence so that there is absolutely no room for argument.

This also fits with the words "allos" and "heteros" which obviously and clearly separates the categories.  However, there may be some error in what I was taught.  I will need to spend some time on this before I elaborate.

http://www.levendwater.org/companion/append124.html

That link is app. 124 of the Companion Bible regarding other and another.

allos = another of the same kind (denoting numerical distinction).  The second of two where there may be more
heteros = another of a different kind (usually denoting generic distinction).  The "other" of two, where there are only two

I'll work on this because I may be in error regarding my understanding from what I was taught.

The word "heteros" is used with the manifestation of faith and with the manifestation of speaking in tongues.  I was taught that only two profited (that is God and myself) when I spoke in tongues, so also is with the manifestation of faith, only two profited (God and myself).  I need to know if this is in error or is in cross purposes with how these manifestations are categorized.

I apologize if it seems like I'm being a pain in the

I just did not see this anywhere in the Gift of Holy Spirit book.  I do need to settle this issue before I can move on.

I would also include as fundamental the scripture :
[Psa 12:6-7 KJV] 6 The words of the LORD [are] pure words: [as] silver tried in a furnace [[words]] of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Before I get started with this teaching there are a few fundamentals you need to understand. The first would be that all scripture is “God Breathed”. You may wonder why I am starting here, it is because you need to understand...

Great service!! Very rapid response to a system crash, back up and running within just a few minutes. I got to watch the technician wizzzz through all the technical right here on my screen and wham, fixed! 20150623 Great Service again!! For nearly a month I kept getting the blue screen crash and continued to call Vision for support. After a couple of weeks of this, I decided to uninstall everything related to Google because of a maleware being placed in a Google folder. I called Vision today to give them a heads up about this issue and have not had a blue screen crash for over a week. Vision has been very patient about this issue and I've been extremely satisfied with their service. These are the last two files before I uninstalled Google... Four Star, no doubt. Semi Buffet style, Meat and two vegetables, roll and salad for a very comfortable price. Taking mom on a Wildflower tour, using Google Maps, This restaurant was my choice for being closest to Paige. It is a very pleasant atmosphere, not too crowded but filled with friendly smiling faces and our waitress was very professional and made every effort to keep us comfortable and satisfied. Mom had the Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans, I had the Pork Chop. It was very good, and met the criteria of genuine Texas Home Style cooking and hospitality. For sure, I'll be a return customer and will recommend anyone in the area, or driving through as a great place to sit back and enjoy a great meal and real Texas Hospitality.
