“Big Data – changing your business to take advantage of this revolution”

There is so much talk about Big Data, yet little practical advice to help organizations deal with it. 90% of all data ever created by the human race was created in the past two years alone – and the rate is accelerating.  The real revolution, though, is that only the individual will be able to access all of his or her own data – companies must come to terms with this loss of control.

This session is for anyone seeking an understanding of the strategic and organizational impact of Big Data, and who wants to use it to real advantage.

You will learn what Big Data is, and how it impacts all businesses, their people and their organizations. Mick will offer strategies you can employ to deal with this data revolution. And, he will show how you can lead change in your organization, to embrace Big Data’s impact in all of your activities.

If the market doesn’t know or believe why you are different, they will ignore you, buy from your competition or buy solely on price. Not a good place to be! The trouble is that when most businesses try to explain how they are different, they end up sounding exactly the same as the competition. You need to stop doing this. It’s eroding your margins!

Rod Sloane will explain how by sharing your “reason why” you will be stand out from your competition and be able to win business at higher rates. Sloane is a business owner and author.

Rod will also be sharing with The Executive Network members the simple one page exercise that has helped one software company grow from just being an idea in 1999 to revenues of $2.6 billion in 2012. This software company is currently ranked the most innovative company in America by Forbes magazine.
