A Riverside County man is suing McDonald's, claiming that the fast-food restaurant’s mozzarella sticks are missing a key ingredient: mozzarella. Instead, the lawsuit says, the substance within the sticks is about 4 percent starch, which contradicts advertisements claiming they are made with “pure mozzarella, real mozzarella and 100% real cheese.”

A good Samaritan chased a wounded seagull for 15 minutes at Diamond Valley Marina in the name of helping rescue the critter and turn it in to the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus. The bird, initially thought to be entangled in fishing line, had a hook embedded in its leg and another stuck in its wing.
