Hip, bustling bar with a vegan menu, cocktails served in mason jars & a sprawling covered patio.- Google
"Good vegan food and alcohol options."
"You can't go wrong with a mason jar full of tasty booze."

Great atmosphere, decent beer prices and nice staff. I order beer here and the beer selection was vast. The interior was very nice and clean. There were coat hangers under the tables which I loved. I found a little bit of glass in my drink and when I told the bar tender they gave me a knew glass and drink. Plenty of cocktails. Bathrooms are single stalled and are clean.

I know, I know. But I went in ordering the Buffalo Sandwich thinking it was going to slap my pants off like the Vegan meatball sub at the Bye and Bye did......but it didn't. That being said, it was still very good, and this place has awesome seating and ambiance in general. Caution: Don't order the house daiquiri unless you wanna get DRUNK in like two seconds.

Sweet Hereafter is a nice place to enjoy a drink or two with friends. The patio is especially nice. It can get crowded on the weekends, making it a bit of a hassle to get get to the bar. The staff are competent, though not terribly friendly. The prices are moderate.

The Jamaican bowl is phenomenal. I've never tasted tofu that tasted so good. The drink that shares the restaurants name is great. I'm coming back here for sure. The lighting is nice. I don't like that you have to order at the bar.

Racist(?) bouncer. I literally drove my two friends who were wasted af and I was the one denied entry. We thought he was joking and then his buddy (who seemed wasted himself) said "unfortunately it happens". You guys suck.

As the friend of Mark, I have to say, very disappointed. Having had a few good experiences here, I thought it would be a good place to stop by with a friend from out of town to grab some food and a couple drinks. Well, yesterday wasn't our day I guess, as the bartender took both of our drivers licenses and wouldn't give them back, as "they look fake". Hmm. Well, I certainly don't have any problem waiting for the police to come and verify that they are in fact not fake. Around half an hour later, they come and bring us a couple of drinks on the house with our licenses, telling us that they called and ran our ids, and everything was ok. That would have been great and fine, but when our actual drinks that we had originally ordered finally showed up, the bartender spilled some on Mark, and then proceeded to tell him, "Oh, everything's okay, just a little spill." No apology or anything, on top of the terrible service from them already. Super condescending when I ask him, as nicely as I could under the circumstances, do you guys have a blacklight or something so you don't run into this problem in the future? He tells me that he knows how to run a bar. Well, if you are to ask me, these guys certainly don't know how treat people the way they should be. I will say that the food and drinks are very good, but unfortunately, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

WASHINGTON UNFRIENDLY. These bartenders do not possess the capability of identifying official Washington state licenses. My friend and I had our licenses confiscated for around an hour while these amateurs did not have a black light on site in order to properly verify them. The owner was very condescending and very unhelpful. He wore a belittling smirk on his face while we tried to retrieve our legally issued licenses. Upon calling the City of Portland police to retrieve our licenses, the bartenders finally decided to to take it upon themselves to run our state ID numbers. We were found to be of legal age. Free first round drinks were offered, however the condescending nature of the owner made the "gift" feel trivial. We did not receive an apology and were made to feel as if we did not belong in this bar. While the food is good, I would not recommend spending your time here. These people are not welcoming.
