Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

I feel like I am going to wait until 2020 before upgrading to High Sierra. However, Apple is making this increasingly impossible since they bother their users every day to upgrade.

I found this blog post which shows how to disable this notification. Works like a charm. https://eclecticlight.co/2017/11/22/are-you-being-pestered-to-upgrade-to-high-sierra/

A few years ago I learned that my local library allowed you to borrow books directly on your Kindle. I was surprised to learn that not many people were aware of this.

This is a great way to read hundreds of your favorite books without having to leave the house.

I recently moved to San Francisco, and they use Overdrive and Libby which is a really nice way to browse, place holds, and borrow books.

Does your Library offer eBooks? Do you take advantage of this?

2017 was a challenging year for our society. The political climate in the United States is hostile, uncertainly clouds the future, and in many ways it felt like we took several steps back as a nation. Luckily there are glimmers of hope and I look forward…
