1038AM February 4, instantly gold dropped ten dollars eastern standard time. It appears that some hacking could be going on here. Hope it is not the good guys. If banks know the stop sells on gold stocks this could generate a lot of sells. Banks make money on every transaction. When prices go up and go down. I would look into this or insert more regulators for the gold button.

Regarding the veterans at the Legion trying to get a better price on beer. I am all for it! The law says you have to charge the same price to every company selling beer. Not sure when this law came into place, but so convenient! For your information, Moose Lodge in Ontario sells a pitcher of beer to their members for $14.00 not sure if it includes tax? In Florida a pitcher of beer at a Moose Lodge, on certain days will sell for $3.00 Regular price is usually $6.00. So indeed the veterans as well as Canadians have the right to protest. Breweries have cut down on their employees with machines doing much of the work. Therefore the price should be reduced.

Some pharmacists say the pressure to meet profit targets can compromise the quality of the care and attention they’re able to dispense.
Some Canadian pharmacists are saying they are under intense pressure to meet business quotas, which causes an assembly-line mentality that increases the likelihood of making mistakes, a Marketplace investigation has revealed.

What is really the hidden agenda behind the oil crash? Is it the North to South oil pipeline in North America? Is it to promote the use of oversized police cars, taxis and rental cars in North America? Is it to cripple Russia or soften the CIA probe? Is it to slow the growth of solar and wind energy? Is Wall Street to go all in on oil stocks to make more money? Or is it countries will take money over pollution anyday? What is really behind the oil crash?
Oil’s sudden decline is the latest Fed-induced bubble to pop, and stocks and real estate could follow, says Euro Pacific Capital’s Peter Schiff.

This is nothing 'new'. We have been on a downward spiral since Andrew Jackson "“I am a most unhappy man, I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men."

Then Thomas Jefferson said, “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks…will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered…The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”

And now, a Television program about how our government works, titled the House of Cards character, Francis saying as he steps onto the street and encounters an irate screaming citizen the police have handcuffed to a light pole and says; “Nobody can hear you, nobody cares about you, nothing will come of your screaming, why don’t you let these nice gentlemen take you home.”

This is where we are. And no one has seen fit to change our direction since Andrew Jackson admitted to ruining our country. There are few in government who care to hear and care less about the 90% of us who struggle to squeak by. According to the power that be, nothing will come of our squeaky wheel.

Will Sharp reinvent the shingle?
If a solar project is in your New Year plans for 2012, consider Sharp's solar shingles (ND-65RU1F). At $69 each, it's an awesome deal!

Stock market going green for the Super Bowl...hmm Think gold will go up tomorrow, to make everyone happy for the Super Bowl...just read this quote found on Google....... the market for the year following 39 of the 48 Super Bowls, for an accuracy rate of more than 81%.

And this year, just like in 2014, stock-market bulls should root for the Seattle Seahawks. The reason: Based on the Predictor, the market will go up after a win by an “original” National Football League team (one that traces its history to before the merger with the American Football League) and go down when a team from the old AFL, such as the Patriots, manages to win it.

Have enjoyed following Saga since 1978. Remember when... I saw Saga at the Gasworks on Young Street in Toronto, they played a song Oldman, which I always remembered although never heard it again until I became a grandpa on January 13/2015. When I found the song on a YouTube archive. Hope to see them in Toronto shortly. Perhaps they could play Oldman, for long time fan John Gordon.

Is this correct that FedEx delivery trucks will have batteries installed to eliminate the engines always running outside. while they make the delivery inside to the  customer. If this is true, the possibilities are endless.

Maria, perhaps you can tell me how that whale that was fixing stocks, is not the same as the person that bought all of the Apple stocks today (icahn?)? + When Facebook jumped after hours from 26 to 31? To send Fb on it's way to 38.What is this? It's not fair that they are not doing the stocks I own.

Took my sons for a quick lunch, $90.00 extra, burger $12 fries extra $3.50 So $2.00 at home mark up × 8. Beer $8.00, wholesale $1.50? Another restaurant trying to make it's money over night. Try Conoba on Hess St, tastier less expensive all round.

Today we went to a supermarket(Fortino's Hamilton Dundurn ST), half way through shopping an announcement came over the loud speaker. Our cashiers automated banking machines are down so you will have to pay with credit or cash. Our banking machine is open at the front of the store, if you want to get cash? The charge to use the banking machine was two dollars. People in line were furious, one lady buying a chicken for say $8.00 would now have to pay $10.00. I asked the manager (Mr Johnston) after accepting the charge, if i could get a refund of my two dollar bank charge? He said no it was the banks fault for the breakdown? Is this true? What if the line up of people at the cash machine would just leave their items in the middle of the store? The CIBC made two dollars off of me alone and who knows if this was country wide? or if the grocery store was involved with the bank? or credit card company?
