Spent three nights on a B&B basis but also had two excellent dinners. The rooms are of a very high quality with whirl bath and very hot pressure showers - a real luxury. After a day's walking this even more welcome. Our hosts were most accommodating with Ray taking us on a series of walks covering all types of scenery and Lindsay providing great breakfasts and dinner.

A warm welcome and made to feel at home. A lovely house in a lovely location. Large comfortable rooms and good choice of breakfast. Worth every penny.

We stayed in the self catering cottage Tithe Barn, adjacent to their B&B. What a beautiful cottage Tithe Barn is! We could not ask for anything better to stay in. The cottage was very cosy and perfectly self-contained - very well thought through! Very clean and loved the pristine white linen and towels. Unfortunately we were only in Bala for the Triathlon weekend, but will definitely be returning to this amazing little place and its surrounds! A beautiful area to visit and stay, especially if you are a cyclist or walker. Thank you Ray and Lindsey for a lovely stay.

Fantastic place. Really accommodating as I was due to arrive very late. Quiet, peaceful, luxurious, fabulous breakfast. Definitely would stay here again anytime. Encourage others to do so asap! Excellent!!

Spent a wonderful four days at Abercelyn. Ray and Lindsay were the perfect hosts - friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable on the local area. A vast breakfast menu gave us food that was always delicious with home baked bread and preserves and freshly squeezed orange juice - perfect to set us up for the day in Snowdonia. Abercelyn is in an ideal location for all the activities there were on offer and we were able to take advantage of Ray's kyaking and guiding experience to spend a couple of most enjoyable days with him on and around lake Bala. My grandson learnt so much in just a short time. Thank you Ray and Lindsay for some memories that will stay with us for a long time to come.

We have spring weather now and the garden is blossoming out and the birds are very active. We have helped to produce a wildlife leaflet for the GoBala which illustrates the wildlife available around Abercelyn.
