We didn't get to experience much outside of room and pool (which sets both amazing) Only reason no 5 stars is because a particular bartender went to check on a noise complaint by the kiddie pool (individual was playing loud music with profane lyrics) and he told the guy that he got a complaint and only came to make it look like he was talking to him. I feel that should have been handled with more respect to the other guests rather than catering to the one guest playing loud inappropriate music. Still four stars and up though.

One of the folks working the pool bar stole my credit card and sold it. Within hours of leaving the bar I had charges showing up from a Home Depot in Florida. Employees thieves, if you're going swimming bring cash. No need to tip the bartenders either, he's making his money from your fellow swimmer's pockets when they're not looking.

The spa and resort are very nice. We were there for a company meeting, so we were unable to access this amenities. The conference center provided a good location for our meeting, with breakfast and coffee readily available.

Location is beautiful, but is far from downtown. About a 30 minute drive away. Extremely nice rooms and service.

Enjoyed my stay here--Austin is beautiful, and coming from Houston, the hills are alive with the sound of music! This resort is in a perfect location for those of us who can't see past the house in front of us; I think I took about 20 pictures of the exact same view. It was built around 1985 and is showing some signs of wear and tear; however, I heard that they are doing a massive renovation, and I look forward to seeing how they bring it into the 21st century. The Tranquility Room in the spa was probably my favorite way to spend my time; I could stare at the aquifer and listen to the relaxing sounds of spa music all day...

I went to the 8212 Restaurant for a lunch meeting. The service was good as well as prompt. The deviled egg appetizer was phenomenal and the Cobb salad was well prepared and equally good. The staff was courteous and attentive to our needs without interrupting the flow of our conversation. It was a good atmosphere for a quick business meeting with discussion that wasn't overpowered by too much noise. All in all, this was a nice location for a relaxed afternoon meeting.

The property is beautiful but I felt it was overpriced. The staff is under trained and they do not pay close attention to detail. The cable was constantly on the fritz so the rooms could not get TV. Room service was difficult to get a hold of at all times and orders were messed up. I had my golf clubs shipped to the resort through ship sticks and the pros shop miss placed the box and return label. It took two more days and two more failed attempts to finally get it sorted and get my clubs sent back to denver. A resort of this size and caliber should be able to handle this easily. Clean it up guys. Great location but needs lots of work before I will be back. Advice.......go somewhere else until they can get it sorted at omni.

The Barton Creek Omni was a wonderful hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and excellent food. Beautiful scenery and golf courses surround the resort. The pool and tennis courts could be slightly better maintained, but other than that the Barton Creek resort is well worth the cost.
