A classic animated short film about a guy who creates a forest by planting one tree at a time...

https://youtu.be/KTvYh8ar3tc

(It may require re-balancing the audio output so the sound effects in the right channel don't drown out the narration in the left channel.)

And a real life guy who created a forest in India by planting one tree at a time...

I love this film. Saw it in the theater years ago as part of the Animated Shorts festival.

Using my honey bees to test out the slo-mo feature on my Samsung Galaxy s7 smartphone. It's not the most action packed clip, but there's potential. And nope, this isn't a paid advertisement.

I liked Back To The Future. Then I turned 14.

Can't play Beethoven's "Moonlight" Sonata?  Now you can.  This is kind of addictive (headphones or speakers required).

http://touchpianist.com/
Touch Pianist is a musical toy / instrument that allows the user to perform hard-to-play classical piano music favorites (from composers like Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Satie, Debussy to name a few) just by tapping the rhythm of the piece's particular sound events on a computer keyboard or a touch screen.

I was disappointed that Mr Clarke on "Stranger Things" wasn't played by Bill Watterson. Talk about a missed opportunity.

Daniel Lanois has a new album coming out in September and here's a taste of it:

http://www.npr.org/sections/allsongs/2016/07/05/484374847/new-mix-daniel-lanois-deap-vally-nonkeen-pinegrove-more

More of his fiddling-with-the-knobs musical journey. I'd be more on board if I sat in bed and listened to albums straight through with headphones. That crowd must love what Lanois is doing these days.

CBC Radio's "The Sunday Edition" with Michael Enright presents an intelligent, engaging and sensitive discussion of the events in Paris. I listened to every minute of it.

What specific religious belief prohibits a university professor from wearing a lapel microphone so a hard-of-hearing student can hear her lectures?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/hearing-memorial-university-1.3230439
A Memorial University student with a hearing disability is upset that one of his professors refused to wear a sound-transmitting device last week during a lecture, and he said she told him it was because of religious reasons.

She teaches The History of Espionage.
She's down selected the curriculum to only include spy cases where someone was hiding behind the drapes.

I'd have paid to be in Charlie Parr's audience a few days ago...
Charlie Parr, a self-taught guitarist from Duluth, Minnesota, performs blues and country.

I'd have a higher opinion of Game of Thrones if this was the theme song.

Fantastic. And I already have a high opinion of GoT.

Have you watched Fargo on FX? That show and the new season of Louie are the best things on TV these days in my never humble opinion.
