How was your weekend? Did you enjoy the weather with friends or family and maybe a drink or two?

Good! Now it's time to work on your fitness again with a workout in our box. On mondays you can also choose to do a workout and loosen up afterwards in our Yoga class. See you today!

Jordy lifting some heavy weight, and showing a little bit of emotion while doing so...

Today we are moving around some weight in our daily workout again. Come on by for some strict presses, power snatches and overhead squats on this sunday morning!

And no, not everybody has to move the same amount of weight like Jordy. Our coaches make sure that 'high intensity' is scaled appropriate per person. Everybody lifting heavy, at their own level!

When performing a conventional deadlift, you are essentially lifting “dead weight” off the ground and then putting it back down on the ground. You can
guess how this carries over to practical uses in your everyday life: moving some heavy furniture, picking up bags, picking up your children, and pretty much doing any movement that requires bending over and picking something up.

Maybe you’re not terribly impressed by the ability to lift groceries more easily. Then how about the fact that deadlifts translate to being better at sports, moving better, improving your posture, and building a strong body?

Friday evenings at CrossFit Alkmaar are for fun! Tonight we host the qualifier workouts for the beach throwdown.

Next week Hidde, coach at CrossFit Alkmaar by night and Fysiotherapist in normal life, is hosting a Squat Clinic on friday evening. Get to know more about the perfect squat and work on your mobility and technique.
