Great place, knowledgable staff, safe space. Completely volunteer run, so everyone involved must be commended for their commitment.

Nice idea on community DIY bike shop, too bad its staffed by a majority of douchebags who are image orientated. Bunch of asshats. But go in and find out for yourself.

Extremely hateful place. Don't go there. Will talk down on you and treat you like a degenerate. Oh, never ever enter that place on a Sunday if you are a cis-man. You will be screamed at.

The place looked decently organized, but I showed up on a Sunday...LGBTQ day. Got walked outside and was asked to come back another day. Relatively politely. My daughter had a good laugh and offered to go for me if I needed anything done on a Sunday. I didn't get to fulfill my request for a badly needed tire (my rear tire had torn down to the casing) so I have to give a Poor-Fair rating - no malice involved - since the volunteer who escorted me out thought I was asking for a wheel when I said I needed a tire and showed her the damage.

I just found these guys since they moved to Queen St. They were friendly, and helped me replace my brakes, charging $5 for a pair of pads. They helped me troubleshoot various little annoyances and I left happy and it didn't cost me much at all, since it's pay what you can pricing. I will be back for some spring maintenance for sure.

This place is just great! I've needed a repair space more than a few times in the last little while and Bike Pirates has proven a great place to go. The volunteers I have had the pleasure to deal with have been really helpful and easy to talk to. There seems to be no shortage of interest in volunteering either, as there are usually more than a few on hand to provide instruction. I'm looking to build a bike come the spring and I'm excited to go back to there to do it.

New to Toronto from the UK and bought a bike that needed some work, so visited this place today. I have only good things to say about this place, all the parts I needed were available (New) and what they didn't have new, they had an abundance of spare parts for all bikes. The main guy (sorry not too good with names) was really helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a bit of knowledge or just wants some basic advice to fix their own bike, the trick is though you need to want to fix your own bike yourself! Many thanks guys see you again Carl

Were very rude when I showed up on Sunday, unaware of their ridiculous male-ban.
