Best 45 minutes spent watching something in a LONG time. WATCH ET. (If you're even remotely interested in anything to do with #Engineering, #Tech, #Entrepreneurship, #business/#startups, the #environment, travelling or life in general and just need to feel better). [You don't have to read under here, just go watch!]

- It's AMAZINGLY inspirational. #Musk poured all his final funds (40M) from his #PayPal sale to revive #Tesla. It shows his worst of times when the #GFC hit and how he managed to pull himself out of multiple concurrent spirals to doom (including being divorced twice w/ 5 children, and all 3 of his companies coming close to bankruptcy), despite people (Including #TopGear and #NYtimes) constantly turning him down. He also migrated from South Africa to the US and now provides a lifetime of free power to the Tesla network of #cars

- 2050: Australia gets its first Tesla car, US: we're on Mars, Yippee yo yay!

- The Director of #IronMan based #TonyStark off #ElonMusk (True fact). :) (#Elon actually appears for a few seconds in Iron Man 2 just before the race track scene).

- Reminds me of #SteveJobs' quote of 'You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.'

Props to Elon Musk and his teams making a significant global difference from essentially nothing but the desire to learn fast and read as a child. Kind of reminds me of Google of the mech eng world. Hopefully one day we'll have Cold Fusion reactors.

I'm an American and a 457 holder. I just spent almost 2 years in your beautiful country working in both public and private hospitals with some amazing physicians, clinicians and students. The vast majority of people I worked with in Australia (Sydney specifically) were "not Aussie" by definition. I worked with Chinese, Indian, Filipino, Maori, kiwi, Nepalese, Indonesian and British people all who came to Australia, not to take but to give. I can't speak for them, only myself. These people aren't your enemies, they are your neighbors and you're lucky to have them.

As a "yank" I can tell you the extreme sense of national pride I used to feel. We are a very jingoistic society and I used to bite that bait. Having the opportunity to live amongst "true Aussies" I quickly learned a nation is only as good as it's citizens. What made America great previously was our diversity. What makes Australia great currently are it's wonderful people. Don't turn away people with a negative attitude. Welcome them in, treat them well, help them assimilate and show them why they should they made the right choice to relocate.

I love Australia. Truly. I made amazing friendships. I saw amazing things. I got to pet a koala! Please don't shut yourselves in and fight against immigration. Open your doors, open your arms and more importantly, open your hearts. You'll be glad you did.

I'm going to be looking into this.... Great concept

HELP!!!!

Want to get the Nvidia SHIELD Tablet? Well, I need more votes on Massdrop. Its a site that helps people buy stuff at lower prices. They do that getting large groups of people who want to buy specific items, then they negotiate a lower bulk price for those items. So a $200 item could become as low as $50 if enough people want to buy it.

If what you're looking for isn't on their site already, you can setup your own vote like I just did for this tablet. If enough people want it you'll be able to get it for a much lower price.
Massdrop helps people buy together as a group to get awesome prices for things they want. The bigger the group, the better the price!

Hey +smart USA. I thought these cars only got like 36mpg. I just drove mine 150 miles in 3 hours and got 46mpg.... All while doing 5 over the speed limit with cruise on. I sure wish more people knew how good these cars are.

Worth the drive. Worth the wait. Worth the price. If you're anywhere near the gulf to need to go experience this amazing eatery. Huge portions, fun atmosphere, great staff.

Great local theater. Much nicer/cleaner than the premier cinema down the street.

Excellent local-owned market. Very friendly staff. Very clean store. The only criticism I have is that the produce selection is lacking. Other chains offer prepped veggies, diced/sliced/chopped, etc. They do this for fruit but not veg. Bakery and deli are excellent. Sushi chef has no personality and smothered everything in spicy mayo.

I don't eat here often enough buy every time I do it's great. Order is always correct and the peanut sauce they sell is great to use with other foods at home. Very reasonably priced and great healthy/vegetarian options.

Great food. A little pricier than others on the causeway. The only downside I can think of is there no outside seating overlooking the bay. Excellent crab here.
