Important stuff, but free in principle is a more compelling cause than funding the reality.

Erm hey HBCGD's, it's me again.

As promised, here is the link to the event information so far:  http://blog.halifaxmakerspace.org/2014/03/celebrating-arduino-day-in-halifax/ The survey link at the top of the page is important - if we're going to spend money on kits, I need a rough idea of commitment.  Once I have a list of names - I can reach out to you directly with further information. Promise not to sell on your details to insurance companies and Viagra sites.

Thanks again for the invite tonight and genuinely hope to make a social night soon.

Rachel

It's official - Halifax is also celebrating Arduino's birthday: 10 years old on Saturday 29th March.

Here's our plan for the day: http://blog.halifaxmakerspace.org/2014/03/celebrating-arduino-day-in-halifax/

Halifax Makerspace is collaborating with NSCAD to host some workshops, game design, talks and interactive sound art. We're also working with Volta to host a social Show & Tell in the evening.

Looking for participation on all levels - to take part, to teach, to observe, to play.

Share if inclined!

Rach, I remember you telling me all about your thoughts and knowledge in this areas years ago, looks like it is becoming a reality.

A far superior, eloquent articulation of an argument I pitched a couple of months ago and an absolute pleasure to read.
A short while ago, I wrote an article on this site suggesting that you can’t build a brand simply by setting out to build a brand. And in fact, thinking too much about brands can actually get in the w...

Sherzad and Rouba have worked on three commissions for me. A white, sixties style dress and two blouses with slashed sleeves. They had an excellent reputation as a tailor, recommended by several people. They helped me buy the right fabric, consulted on the pattern and have been reliable in assembling the garments for the various fittings. They work exceptionally hard, around the clock and take on seemingly impossibly tasks. I've had a few things made for me in the past and consider Sherzad to be one of the best tailors I've worked with.
