Stick to the specials on the blackboard, always something delicious on there. If its nice out, there's no place better to enjoy al fresco dining in the village

The most overrated Italian restaurant in New York. After giving Bar Pitti three chances, they've failed. For great food I am actually willing to look past terrible service. But let's start there. Rude, rushed, ego-maniacal servers focus more on table flipping and ignoring guests than any sort of respectable service. The food, even if priced more reasonably, wouldn't be worth it. Flavors are lack luster and the food feels assembly-lined. Think, mediocre catered food at a cost-cutting wedding... So why do people go? It's a scene. In fact, it's as sceney as they come. The large outdoor seating area on sixth avenue is perfect for two reasons - it gives showboating New Yorkers a chance to peacock, and the generous coating of car exhaust is the perfect garnish on a wasted meal... Where should you eat? ANY of the Pepe restaurants. Pepe Giallo in Chelsea, Pepe Social in Little Italy, or Pepe Rosso few steps from Bar Pittiful (though very small and is designed more for take out). It is some of the best Italian Food I've had in NYC. You'll be shocked at the quality, price, and service. Owned and operated by a family - two brothers and wife. They love their work and love their customers.

Never been so bad treated in my life. With xenophobic waiters!!! I had just sat on a table and the waiter asked if I was Brazilian and made fun of me, then brought me water and "dropped" it on me. I left there immediately. This place should be closed down!

if you enjoy rude waiters and bad service -be my guest. the personal working at Bar Pitti were rude to my family and were seating groups of people before us while making us wait on the side. When i went to inquire inside i was asked to wait again. we won't be dining there or coming back at any time soon.

Amazing Italian restaurant with great Tuscan seasonal fare... Great outdoor dining! It's about the food and the people and not service. It's a real neighborhood gem

The food and service was good on this night. However, its 2015 and they take cash only. If my bill wasn't 180.00 I wouldn't care, but get with it!

Went there for dinner, the waiters were very rude. The food was always cold and insipid. Too much heavy cream on the pasta. Horrible experience and really expensive for bad Italian food.
