Have you ever been in a body of water completely panicked, with arms flailing, thinking you’re drowning, when in reality all you had to do was lower your feet and stand up?

I’ve been there, done that. Rather embarrassing, but very comforting when those toes touch sand or terra-firma.

Which got me to wondering, how often do we as Christians flounder, flap, and flail in the midst of our circumstances? (Boy, I have!)

Often, we forget Jesus promises that no one will ever snatch us from the safety of His hand. Stop, rest, think about, and relish that wonderful truth.

No matter what difficulties we face, we really are always safe in God’s hands and firmly planted in His love. When we take the time to -> https://lisabuffaloe.com/safe-in-his-hands/

God finds the one who thinks they have gone too far from His grace, the one who thinks they have been forgotten, the one who is hiding, the one who thinks they have no purpose. --> http://lisabuffaloe.com/back-side-of-the-desert/

The hard work you do, the sacrifices you make, the constant giving of yourself and your skills, aren’t noticed. The accolades don’t come, your passed over for the promotion, the family doesn’t seem to care, and no one appears to understand how hard you work. Even God seems distant. Working. Is. Hard. Shouldn’t they, and shouldn’t He, reward you? Shouldn’t you at least get a “thank you” or a pat on the back? It’s hard to keep working when no one seems to notice. It’s hard when the reward we thought we would get never comes to fruition.

Searching, wanting, longing for love, desperation that beats for the empty places to be filled, for your moaning heart to be complete with love.

We’ve all been there, all of us have longed to find the one who will be with us through the changes and craziness of life, who will love us no matter what happens, who will love us for who we are.

Oh friend, I have good news. There is One. There is One who loves you, who loves with an unfailing love, who loves through the good, bad, and ugly of your life. Jesus Christ will never leave you or forsake you. His love is everlasting. His love is like no other. He never will tire of you. His love will never let go.

You are never too old, never too young, never too fat or too thin, too quiet or too loud or too needy. His love is steadfast and unchanging. His love always thinks the best of you. His love is deep, wide, high, perfect and pure.

Sweet hubby and I watched a movie from the 1940’s — a gentle story of a family with all their funny little idiosyncrasies, struggles, hopes, and dreams. For days, I contemplated the gentleness of the film, the love the family had for one another and the sacrifices they made through each hardship. Their story gentled my heart.

In a world full of hardships and struggles, we need a gentle story. We need to see that others have made it through the pain, misunderstandings, family issues, and life issues. We need the happy ending.

The Bible has the most gentle of stories, the story of -->
